Well if Deadpool can wield Thor Hammer as said by the OP,then i am sure that Spider-Man could as well.

Anything said or done by Deadpool must always be taken with a huge grain of salt. The character as he is now exists to break the 4th wall and do things no other character can really do. Just look at his big 900th issue. The covers gallery alone was a big laugh at the tradition. Even the recap page was rife with 4th wall winking, loaded especially with playful shots at DC.

But that's my point. You can't take anything done/said by Deadpool as serious. If it was done in Thor's book and not Deadpool's or a special or anyting than MAYBE but I seriously doubt any Thor writer would actually suggest Wade is a worthy contender for Mjolnir. If it happened in DP's own book or a whatever than don't bother considering it serious.

At the end of the same story Superman could no longer lift it.

the answer is no. Thor/ Donald Blake, Beta Ray Bill and Steve Rogers aka Captain America are the only ones that can. (at least to my knowledge. Red Hulk did it in outer space... but that was poorly written)

He can't lift it at the end of that story. As they are getting ready to leave, he tries to pick the hammer up to hand it back to Thor and he can't do it.

Deadpool lifted a copy of Thor's hammer that was created by Loki. He didn't lift the real thing.

    Yes, yes he can
Marvel adventures, Ultimate Universe and SuperHero Squad universes are not the 616 continuity.... which seems to be the realm the OP was asking about....

Though that was a fun issue.... read it at the coffee shop next to my local comic store.

    Peter's insecurities would prevent it.

Were he more sure of himself, I don't see why not.

    Thanks.

I'll have to re-read it again. I remember him picking it up but not being unable to.

I don't remember the characters name but a guy in Thor did it in #384.

Walt Simonson said something revealing in a convention panel a few years ago. When he started his run, no one else had ever wielded Thor's hammer, despite the words suggesting the possibility. And Simonson created Beta Ray Bill, because he didn't think any other Marvel character was "worthy" (Simonson saw Captain America as too nationalistic, for this specific honor.) I'm not sure I agree with that since Thor loves Asgard, but going by that logic, Spider-Man shouldn't be able to hold Thor's hammer. He's simply too flawed.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets
