only half of those candidates actually gave birth and were real moms. each of those remaining 3 (mystique, moira, and maddie) tried to kill their kids. i'd have to give it to maddie, because at least the other 2, tried to do it out of demented love or pity. maddie doesn't seem to really care what her kid's up to and had no problem having sex with an alternate reality version of him.
