Ok, now I understand his notions on the Speed Force a bit better although I don't totally agree with them. Still, it's nice to have a writer care enough about the fans to make such an effort. Also, I get the feeling that the Wally West costume will be similar to the one with the white eyepatches...familiar!

Dear DC:
Please acquire the rights to publish a Cap'n Crunch comic, so Geoff Johns can write him.

I'm curious to see what Johns has planned for Black Manta. Given his comments, I'm wonder if we're getting a Mera book (rather than an Aquaman book) coming out of Blackest Night.
The Silver Age is roughly 1954-1971.
The Bronze Age is roughly 1971-1986.
The nineties are not the Bronze Age!
Wow... now that's a dude who thinks a lot in his lifetime.
Being a "fan-fiction" writer, as some call him, shouldn't be an insult if you have bundles and bundles of ideas and the determination to get them to work in the best way possible. As a person, I got no problems with that, for anyone who does fan-fiction (slash-fiction is another thing altogether...)
I don't know, but usually interviews are interviews... but this inspired me in some ways.
Yeah, maybe those who are cynical can bash me on this but... I don't know... I'm having that fuzzy, inspired feeling after reading this interview...
Must have been that Cap'n Crunch idea...
You just have to be cool about it...
I would love an Aquawoman comic by Johns with art by Reis.
I still didn't understand Geoff's answer on Dove and I'm hoping that he'll explain it more within the Blackest Night event.![]()
His answer to the science question totally made my day!
His further explanation of the Speed Force as he views it makes the idea even more forced, contrived and unnecessary.
So Barry created, continues to fuel, and now his will/sense of justice dictates the choosing of Speeders beyond the boundaries of time, space, and the universe?
That's "fan-fiction" writing in the negative way, in my opinion.
Don't worry.
My brother and sister of the atom.
We are the X-men, and we stand together
Black Manta is an utterly stupid villain. "I'm black and I'm mad." That's pretty much it. They should have let that wonderful death that Aquaman gave him stand.
Insert token fanboy nagging here _____________________________.
I'm fuzzy on Black Manta's history, so pardon the questions:
1) Was he always a black guy? I seem to recall that seemed like a more recent revelation...
2) When did he die at Aquaman's hands? (Really ashamed I don't know this one - used to have a "dead characters list" page, so I *should* know this...)
I'm not sure I understand his explanation of the Speed Force but its good to hear Wally's costume won't change much.
"I have a 50-issue Iron Man run sitting in this notebook."
I want him to stay with DC but I'm really curious about this.
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2
For answering my question and for a great series so far with Blackest Night.
Here's hoping that you will write more stories with Mera after Blackest Night and to wondering how you can be writing Black Manta and not include Aquaman in that?!?
