I thought I'd start a new thread to focus on a great new property which has charmed me with its depth, originality and subtlety. I'll be updating the progress on the space epic script by its creator, Adrian McIlroyspeed, as it develops, but first I wanted to share some of the initial sketches for the crew of the Good Luck. Feedback is welcome and appreciated!

More on these characters as things develop... again, these are just initial sketches- I expect some of their designs will shift a bit in style but they will remain essentially the same.

personally, i would prefer to see Capt. Johnson wearing some shoes. it just seems to make for a more complete uniform.

I agree with this.

Trugga is sooo cool!....and the other characters...your sketches seem to tell what us what to expect of them..I am looking forward to this...because it seems like alot crazier ride that with the FUTURAMA crew

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I actually pointed the lack of shoe issue out already, even did a version with him wearing the issue boots, but the huge creature feet seem to be the norm for his species. If nothing else, it is certainly distinctive.

Trugga is definitely my favorite to draw. His personality may not mesh with how his appearance first hits you though- he's a surprising character.

although I have to say Trugga reminds me a little of Ludo from Labyrinth, he seems like a lovable guy

Doh! You are the first to catch that! But thanks. For the record, I didn't design these characters, but I am sort of reinterpreting them, so I have some leeway with some elements but not with others. (Graeme's feet, for instance.) I can certainly fix that thumb though. Rookie mistake..

EDIT: Thumb has been surgically reattached to the proper side of the hand.

Privateer and Pirate Bay are both standalone expansions. Autotrading only works for ports that you own, and since you don't own any ports in Privateer..no autotrade.

This property is not in any way affiliated with the East India Company game, if that's what you mean. The characters are owned by the creator, and I've got a pact with him to develop it further. Hope to have the initial pages of the story posted here before long. Stay tuned!
