Default The Mephisto is not the devil topic (IS TOO!) - The Mephisto Mega Thread

This is here to cut down on thread drift.

So whenever you see some nice, Mephisto is and/or isn't the devil, except when he claims to be but might be lying anyway, even though metaphorically speaking it doesn't matter either way type posts, feel free to direct them here where we can debate Mephisto's level of devilitude without drifting other threads.

And anyway, Mephisto isn't the devil. He just claims to be and does a pretty damned good imitation. (pun intended)

so Lucifer, "The Devil" that runs the hell God sends sinners to (see Ghost Rider v3 or Ghost Rider: Heavens on Fire), is not closer than to being the religious version of "The Devil" than Mephisto is?

Might be if it hadn't been confirmed in a 90s stand alone Ghost Rider/Punisher/Wolverine comic that those two entities were one and the same.

This is what you do if you're a good guy and Mephisto offers you a deal:

    Perfect humility dispenses with modesty.

Yeh, but, by doing this, Black Panther is stealing time away from a guy who could be extending the lives of senior citizens!
"Superior New Day" is temporary: but maybe Juggernaut can be the new She-Hulk! And Skeletor can be Battle Cat. Darth Vader can be Princess Leia in the new Superior Star Wars! Unleash the Whacken!

Well, he is the guy that's witholding the cure for cancer from the world. Panther is just a jerk like that.

Old people are only good for dying.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.
