This is here to cut down on thread drift.
So whenever you see some nice, Mephisto is and/or isn't the devil, except when he claims to be but might be lying anyway, even though metaphorically speaking it doesn't matter either way type posts, feel free to direct them here where we can debate Mephisto's level of devilitude without drifting other threads.
And anyway, Mephisto isn't the devil. He just claims to be and does a pretty damned good imitation. (pun intended)

so Lucifer, "The Devil" that runs the hell God sends sinners to (see Ghost Rider v3 or Ghost Rider: Heavens on Fire), is not closer than to being the religious version of "The Devil" than Mephisto is? Originally Posted by Jim Thompson
