But really when I look at the bondage from the GA WW I can't help but think of the 1960's Batman show. Like WW they were tied up at least once per show/issue and Batgirl went in for her share of it as well.

But in 1966-67 there was nothing wrong with it. I'm not sure if that is a sign of society enlightening or going downhill. Batman the series was a bondage fest long before Batgirl showed up, but while the bondage was there it was never overtly sexual. If you look at some of the shows of that era, Penelope Pitstop, Bugaloos, stuff for kids you'll see a lot of danger and bondage, but not a hint of sex.

Oh, I know. At least from a kid's perspective.

I mean, really, if you look at Betty Paige's stuff, it's entirely tame and ... really ... almost asexual. She was gorgeous, and a wonderful model, but there just wasn't that much going on in her work, sexually. She certainly never saw as anything but just good fun.

So, certainly, bondage doesn't equal sex.

That doesn't mean that that image isn't just ALL KINDS of wrong, still! :)

From what I understand it's over rated anyway.

Betty Paige lived in an even more innocent era as far as openness was concerned. She was working at a time when married couples had to be shown to have two beds. The idea of regular sex was nearly forbidden, let alone the type of wild sex that everyone is supposed to be having today.

I'd say that time was less innocent, more backwards and ignorant for the most part.

That's all I've found so far. You can find both of them on comicvine.com in Artemis' gallery. The second one is drawn by an up and coming artist named Alex Oliver. Apparently, Ed Benes owns an art studio and teaches artists, and this guy is one of his students. There's a whole site showing off the work of the Benes family and various students. You can even buy some of them. Alas, the second image has already been bought. Nevertheless, all the people on that site DO take commissions.

The site is www.comiconart.com. Lots of good stuff there.

Can't go wrong with classic 'white costume' Wonder Woman bondage

Martson was a fetishist of all trades. Looks like he's something of a chubby chaser as well:

The bondage/distress covers from that period of WW were freakin' amazing.

A lot of them were incredibly dark.

This is one of the most evocatively creepy comics covers ever, IMO:
