That moment in the picture is actually where Diana starts showing just how impossible it is to keep her down. Any Thanagrian she runs into for the rest of the story is basically cannon fodder -- including the whole crew of their flagship at the climactic battle.
I think I remember this. Was Starcrossed the one where Hawkman tried to destroy earth to win some sort of inter-stellar war?

If you haven't been very active on this board, it's understandable. I had to dig it out of the deepest reaches of the board. No one's added anything to it for many many months. Thanks to a little thread necromancy on my part, hopefully it's here to stay.

These are some very good pictures; it's like bringing the Marston era Wonder Woman up to modern day standards; that's what I'm talking about; I hope JMS does something like this and your pictures would make a great template.
I'm just a little surprised that you, of all posters, posted such images. Great post and keep them coming.

If someone didn't see the show to know that she was probably seconds from shattering his skeleton, you'd get some funny ideas from this scene.

I'm a fan of Wonder-Bondage. Always have been. I've never been shy about that. What makes you think I wouldn't post these?

For starters, your various different reactions to Wonder Woman's portrayal in Secret Six? You really nick picked and appeared to be sensitive to Wonder Woman getting her hands dirty. Good you're a Wonder Woman bondage fan; nothing wrong with that; I am too, but I'm not as enthusiastic about bondage as some. I'm a casual bondage fan I guess you can say; seeing Wonder Woman in bondage is more of one of several types of portrayals I would like to seeing a lot more of in relation to Wonder Woman, but it is at the top of the list.

The name at comicartfans says Dean Juliette. Don't know him myself, I just stumbled across those pics one day.

I don't mind Diana getting her hands dirty. I have a problem with Diana being used as toilet paper by a bunch of characters that aren't fit to lick her boots and getting no payback for it. If Diana had punched Jeanette into high orbit at the end of that issue, I'd have no problem at all. A little bondage doesn't bother me at all. I like seeing Diana get tied up, but half the fun of seeing Diana tied up is imagining her breaking out of her bonds and rising again like the hero she is. In Secret Six, we didn't even get to enjoy that much. We didn't even see her escape. And we didn't see her get back at her abusers at all. That's what pissed me off. Not the bondage itself.

I agree with you. I like Wonder Bondage, but I don't want it to go back to being practically a required thing in her books. I DO think the bondage weakness should return. It makes a lot of sense and it isn't as easy to exploit as one might think. No, I don't want to see Diana get tied up in continuity every issue for no other purpose than titillation. But I do want to see it return as an interesting facet of her character.

I'm glad that some people get into this stuff. I know I don't. But, hey, to each his own. And, it's not because its Wonder Woman. I'm not into men being bound either.

Okay, given who's holding her in this one, I'm a little unnerved, but Diana'll escape and punt the little bastard like a football, I'm sure.
