I think that then the stories become too far out of the mainstream. The writer walks a fine line between serious danger and silly danger. Tickling-though used as a torture in some cultures-would be considered just a silly thing if it happened to Wonder Woman.

This caused quite a bit of controversy when it came out.



For myself I thought "Wow, Lex Luthor is taking the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 approach to breaking the heroes will. They must be watching Plan 9 from Outer Space!"

But things really got hot on the net when pages 6 and 7 were revealed



I post these to illustrate a point. Let's face it Wonder Woman and bondage-in fact heroes and heroines and bondage-go together. Either the badguy ties them up after he defeats them or he kills them and that would be the end of all of the stories. Even mainstream artist indulge themselves.
