This must be the 1,000th interview/preview of this book lol

I hope it helps bring in readers, because I'm ridiculously excited for this book. I'm a huge, huge fan of supernatural Marvel and its a genre that's getting criminally underutilized.

And man, those covers are just crazy good.

I dig the art. But, boy, does Dr. Strange look old!
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Default Jericho Drumm: @$$ Kicker Supreme

All I can say is it's about time! Rick Remender sounds like he's got the right idea with Doctor Voodoo (Strange meets Lovecraft), and I like the fact that the heavy hitters aren't going to waste any time trying to take him down, and that there's finally going to be some limits to what they can do. The idea of a magical "kryptonite" sounds good enough as long as they don't "recycle" it over and over (how many colors of Kryptonite are there now?). I have to admit Voodoo's redesign didn't really appeal to me at first (his original design was pretty hit-and-miss too) but the art style has really grown on me. Seriously, kudos to Jefte Paulo! I'll definitely pick up the first arc, and at least only the first issue is $4, right Marvel? Between this, the Strange miniseries and the mysterious upcoming event it looks like magic's about to come back in a big way.
    Pull List:
Batman and Robin, The Brave and the Bold, Fantastic Four, Jonah Hex, The Legion of Superheroes, Secret Warriors, SHIELD, Superman, The Unwritten, Wonder Woman

    Default Note Really Feeling It

I can't seem to be able to accept Brother Voodoo as the new Sorcerer Supreme. The character is totally undeserving. I understand that we have a black president, so it's good to promote more black characters, but this seems unrealistic and forced.

The art is good, but how come Dr. Strange is looking so descrepit and hagard, like an old butler?

What makes Voodoo any less deserving than anyone else? He's been around forever. It's not like there are other higher profile magic characters that are being overlooked, since Dr. Strange is the ONLY high profile magic character aside from Doom, and it doesnt look like they wanted a villain in the role.

I'm just going to pretend that Doctor Strange is still sorcerer supreme. Not some z-lister I've never heard of.

Given that it's a work of fiction dealing with magic, calling it unrealistic is a pretty dead-end complaint. As for Voodoo being "undeserving" . . . do you know what he scored on his SAT (sorcery aptitude test)? I heard he aced it.

I was speaking in the context of comics. I'm not sure of his score but yours (Snarky Aptitude Test) is probably off the chart.
