I wonder if Gemstone hasn't proved that a low priced Mickey comic book doesn't have a market here in the US. They had Mickey and Donald Duck comics priced at $2.95, but had to cancel them.

    Which cover is cover C?

I've read Wizards of Mickey, and damn but it's a good story.

Gemstone lost more money on Walt Disney's Comics & Stories than on Mickey Mouse and Friends, but it was a matter of pride to keep the former series going.

I'm serious: when I learned of the decision to kill the 32-page books (Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck and Friends), I ran the numbers and pointed out that they both sold better than WDC&S. The response I got?

I know we're losing more money on Comics & Stories -- but I'm not going down in history as the one who canceled it.
And that's just one example of the business savvy that made the Gemstone Disney comics such a "success"!
