I totally agree with you. I have grown quite attached to Daken even though I couldn't stand him in the beginning.

I agree. In Origins he felt like a joke, but when came on bored and he joined the Dark Avengers he really expanded into something crazy fun.

It's by no means a solid answer but I feel it's enough to give some hope: (from the recent X-position with Bunn)

3) Within the past year, we saw Logan gut a bunch of his offspring, as well as interact with his other blood ties, like Daken and X-23. Do you plan on any kind of family focus in your run?

It's funny. Family is another big focus of the first arc. Just not Wolverine's family.

Given the opportunity, though, I'd love to write a story featuring Wolverine, Daken, and X-23. Since the earliest discussions of me taking on "Wolverine," I've had the story in mind, and I think it would be one helluva ride. Here's hoping I get to share it with you.

On the subject of Daken's death, are his recent appearances in Wolverine and Deadpool set before or after the end of his own series. I am hoping for after personally as he was too good a character to kill off.

I just finished reading the new Daken TPB. The writer definitely works better in TPB. It is pretty good, but at the same time didn't get where he was going.

While I don't think he's being written quite right in that book, I really do dig the idea of a Sabretooth and Daken ongoing series. Shame it'll never happen eh?
