Dark Wolverine: Daken Appreciation

Since his creation Wolverine has cast quite the shadow and in the last 10 years two characters created from the Wolverine mold have emerged in search of their own identity.

First off is Laura Kinney aka X-23 the twenty third attempt to clone Weapon X aka Wolverine. But she's got her own thread.

The Second is Wolverine's long lost son Daken.

When Daken first showed up on the scene most people were not impressed. But over his time in Wolverine Origins but more so in the Dark Avengers and Dark Wolverine books Daken has begun to emerge from his father's shadow to establish himself as a real character as opposed as an OC from some bad fanficiton.

So now for all things Daken you can come here and discuss it.

I didn't care for Daken when he initially showed up (in W:Origins i believe), but the way his character is written in Dark Wolverine makes me LOVE him!!! He is an awesomely bad character...he's not a good guy because he's on the Green Goblin's Avengers team...I love how he is always causing trouble within the ranks of the Dark Avengers, and he does without anyone really realizing its him...he is truly AWESOME!!!

I've only read Daken in a few books but his solo title is on my list. What does he really want? He's such a bastard. I love how he plays EVERYBODY.

I got into Daken during the Original Sin crossover between Origins and Legacy... it was a great idea and was executed well between Carey and Way. After that, Daken was tons more interesting and even more so now during his run in Dark Wolverine...

Never thought I'd say this but I like both Wolverine's clone and Wolverine's son a whole bunch.

I gotta give credit to writers on this one. To come up with such lame character ideas but yet write them in such a way that they're fresh in new. Good form writers good form.


Ok folks here's a question for you: Does Daken actually like Moonstone or is he just screwing with her?

Im half tempted to say screwing with her but its fun to see them flirt with one another. And for crying out loud he bought her porn!

I think this is probably has about 99.9% being true. THough for Daken to actually like some one would be crazy. At least he can add another notch to his belt for banging Moonstone though the same can be said for Moonstone banging Daken.
