"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
Not that I am aware of but I wasn't able to keep up with all the cross over titles. I don't think I have the story with Sue going to Namor like that (and you're right about it being hypocritical). Was that in the CW main title? I may have selective memory and chose to forget it.
As for Doom and Namor, there's been no deal making other then the "I'll get the lands, you get the seas" stuff in the Cabal one shot. Namor looked like he was depressed or something....definitely looking to Doom for direction afterwards. I thought they would follow up more on their alliance but it was never addressed. Knowing there past associations, it would have been a rocky one but it had some possibilities of a great side plot. Doom did after all resurrect Attuma in a very Frankensteinian way by reattaching his head in "Made Men" as a contingency.

I have no idea what this means but I am intriguedTell me where.
Civil War moments spoilers (just in case)
spoilers:end of spoilers
Yeah it was Civil War. Cap send her to Namor who asks for help. Namor says no and says she is exploiting their 'unique' relationship. She says they 'have no relationship' to which he replies 'I can feel you heart beating through the water' It was when I decided I really like Namor. Anyway, he shows to hand Tony his ass (okay I am embelishing) at the end of Civil War. Then Cap gives up. So, the whole thing made Namor/SHIELD relations totally jacked which led straght into Revolution. Then in Revolution Sue gets all uppity with him about having sleeper cells on US soil and won't help him.
What the hell is the Cabal 1-shotI've been playing catch up for months and am out of it. I haven't even got to Dark X-Men yet. I big time get the feeling Doom was playing Namor in Revolution, but I wonder if it is going to be one of those things Marvel kind of sweeps under the rug. If Doom winds up finding away to put Atlantis back together in secret locale, Namor will turn on the X-Men in a heart beat IMO. Doom's been pretty out of the picture lately hasen't he? I know Doom War is coming up between BP and Doom, but unless he shows somewhere in Siege, I don't think he that big of a player at the moment.

This hasn't come up yet but in the Made Men one shot (which was originally just offered as a digital comic) Doom has come to Attuma with a deal
just in case spoilers
spoilers:end of spoilers
There is a flashback to Sentry beheading Attuma as he awakes in Doom's castle with his head stitched back on again. Doom tells him about his latest alliance with Namor and tells him "too often I have engaged in war with Namor at my side, only to end up glaring at him across the battlefield before the day is done. I fully intend to be prepared for such an eventuality this time.
When Attuma reminds him that he's not exactly been succesful against Namor, Doom tells him not only did he bring him back to life, he also surgically altered him so that he is has Namor's strength, ability to fly and to breathe on land. He also promises him access to some advanced tech for his army. He gives Attuma one hour to think it over....be my ally or he would have to fight his way out of the castle and a swarm of Doombots. The story ends before you know what choice he made.
There's been two one shots about the Cabal....one was at the beginning of DR and one in the summer, showing Doom and Namor leaving the meeting. It shows that Doom's thoughts about what plans he has to take out just about everyone in the Cabal but that's probably not going to happen in Siege.
That Revolution series just went right by me. Who wrote that one and how many issues where there? I didn't know Namor was in that. I hate how convoluted this has all become.

I may just be confusing you as I write. It was the Sub Mariner: Revolution on the trade. Sorry, it was not something different. I couldn't tell you who wrote or penciled, but it had some of the coolest cover work I have ever seen. Not a bad little story. I just found it a week ago. I really hope Bendis gets ahold of him again and ties up all these loose ends.

love Namor. give him more screen time. he should be part of the avengers post siege
I wonder if Marvel will have him concentrate on resurrecting Atlantis? That's where his focus should be. According to the Feb solicits, The FF are going to go exploring ...
"At the bottom of the world, there's a mystery buried deep beneath Vostok station. It's part two of the Prime Elements arc: "The Old Kings of Atlantis."
Hickman has plans to work with the classic FF extended family and I think if he's smart, he will avoid the cliche of the romantic triangle. I want to see Namor find a new love.

Question:
There are 2 Namor series that look like they have come out since Civil War. Any idea which one came out first? I can't find an original release date for Revolution, but The Depths looks like it came out last November and finished up Jan '09.
Any ideas?

I did happen to find my set of the Sub-Mariner mini titled "Revolution". I got confused because the cover has "The Initative" banner tie in.
Issue No. 1 Sub-Mariner: Revolution has inside cover date of August 2007.
Issue No. 1 of Sub-Mariner: The Depths has a date of November 2008.

I don't care how pissed everyone is at Fraction. I'm buying this:

I enjoyed it quite a bit though it is kind of deceiving by having Namor above the title because of the nature of his role in the story. The main character is a fellow who goes around debunking myths like the Yeti and it takes place around the time of the Post WWII / Cold War era. I don't want to spoil too much.
