I'm not familiar with Papa John's but I somehow doubt they'll jump menu items from $2.99 to #31.14 (or whatever).
More likely they'll hold prices constant as long as possible and then jump them all by a round amount - say $3.25 or $3.50.
Of course, now they'll no longer be able to effective dump sick employees on emergency rooms and charities
eye roll. Romney fundraiser and CEO of shitty pizza shamelessly using whatever means to get publicity and raise prices? shocking
perfect timing. maybe they can get a nationally known douchebag to call for a papa john appreciation day or some shit and make a mint off right wing resentment
I am just surprised that it wasn't Godfather Pizaa who came up with it first.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

Yeah, I can pay a little more for a fucking comfort food if it means someone, somewhere, will benefit from medical services.
Seriously, how detached from basic human compassion do you have to be, where this means anything to you?
Seems a lot more likely to me their costs are actually being driven up by, say, an ongoing drought effecting crops in the U.S., or overall rising fuel costs that increase food prices, by way of transport and delivery costs.
But f*** that, let's blame it on the black guy for trying to help those damn dirty poors to stay healthy.

It's more a case of being detached from reality as in "Six million people who do not currently qualify for Medicare but would have been eligible for coverage under the ACA won't get it because Republican Governors have turned down the funds to pay for it. Therefore six million people are worse off because of "Obamacare". Never mind that half of them will get federal subsidies for their private insurance. Also, witch-hunts."
Oh Noes! An extra 11 cents for a shitty pizza.
Which means they'll raise the price a buck and pocket 89 cents per shitty pizza.
And Americans will continue to buy shitty pizzas, get fatter and need that health coverage even more.
Rick Perry Factors Into State Budget Obamacare Funds He Had Pledged To RejectEight days after the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate and ruled that the federal government cannot penalize states that refuse to expand Medicaid, Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) announced that he would not open the program to more applicants. But while he was making a public show of turning down federal funds, Perry was using the additional dollars in state budget projections.
In a letter explaining how he would fill a budget gap left by Texas’ decision to defund Planned Parenthood, Perry’s office uses the money the federal government will pay states that make Medicaid available to individuals up to 133 percent of the Federal Poverty Line in its budgetary assumptions:
Greta Rymal, Deputy Executive Commissioner for Financial Services, has projected the fiscal impact of this rule for three years, assuming that all clients will be eligible for Medicaid following the expansion of the Medicaid program in January 2014 [...]
Several months ago, the Texas health commissioner signed a rule to ban Planned Parenthood or any organization the state considers an “abortion affiliate” from participating in Medicaid’s Women’s Health Program, which “provides low-income women with family planning exams, related health screenings and birth control” throughout Texas. The state’s discrimination against a specific health provider violated federal rules and led Washington, which had financed 90 percent of the WHP through Medicaid funds, to block Texas from receiving further funding for the program.
According to a new report from the George Washington University School of Public Health, more than 52,000 people benefited from Planned Parenthood’s services as part of the Women’s Health Program in Texas in 2010.
So has anyone pointed out to the residents of the states where the governors have declined additional Medicare funding that they, the individual taxpayers, will still pay the additional taxes created by the ACA and will in effect be subsidizing residents of other states?
Even Mitt Romney's spokeswoman, Andrea Saul admits that healthcare in this form saves the lives of honest, hardworking people, when their circumstances don't let them afford health insurance otherwise.
Of course, most of the rest of the conservatives tried to gag her and throw her in a closet after she said it, but still.

Okay, how does this affect the Christians' moral outrage over their tax dollars possibly going towards contraception through the Affordable Care Act?
