28 issues seems like a lot for an Absolute collection...

I'd appreciate new hard/soft-covers, as it's hard to find the ones out already (and IIRC a matching trade set does not exist)

And that's the exact problem I have with alot of DC's hardcovers/absolutes. The most they collect is 12 issues, or like 17 with the Sandman absolutes, and they almost always cost $100.

The Long Halloween absolute, 12 issues, GREAT! Nice reprint, EXCELLENT! But for like $75??? Same with that Absolute Green Lantern Rebirth and that has even less content.


If DC would just be smart and make some really good collections, it would help soooo much. I mean Marvel Omnibus books have upward of 30 issues in it! I have the Bendis Daredevil Omnibus which collects a 33 issue run.

Plus, I think Planetary is an iconic enough series to deserve a great hardcover like I'm talking about.

I'd imagine, since there's already an Absolute Planetary Volume 1, we're simply going to get a Volume 2. I can't think DC would be obnoxious enough to try to get people to buy the same material twice in their top-of-the-line prestige format.
