Default Which Wonder Woman villain is your favorite?

The Wonder Woman rogue's gallery has been a relatively hot topic as of late, so ultimately which one is your all time favorite and why is it that particular Wonder Woman rogue? For me, it's always been this gentleman......

Aside from being the God of War, he symbolizes the perfect anti thesis for Wonder Woman. He is heartless to Diana's compassion. He is manipulative to Diana's straightforwardness. He is merciless to Diana's faithfulness. As Diana is a warrior striving for peace, he is a warrior striving for a never ending war. Also, he is one of the coolest looking villains I have ever seen. By all accounts, he should be of the upper echelon of the DCU villains because he covers all bases in regards to villainy.

Oh, I'm also proud to say that I actually have that action figure being shown.

    Visually - Circe

    Nostalgically - Cheetah

Funness - Giganta - especially written by Gail!

It's too hard for me to choose just one (which doesn't really answer your question), because I think Wonder Woman's mythos is filled with some great villains and potential villains. I'm drawn to are Ares, Circe, Cheetah, Dr Psycho, Giganta, Angle Man (Jimenez version), Hercules, Veronica Cale, The Circle and Dr Poison pretty strongly. Ares' children, Phobos, Deimos and Eris have always been good too. Cronos' children had some great designs and I'm curious how other writers might enhance Devastation. I like them all for a lot of different reasons.

I'm hoping that Giganta and Dr Poison get some more characterization, motivation explanation and origins/back story sometime soon.

My future favorites hope to include a revamped Dr Cyber, Eviless, The Mask and Zara and The Cult of the Crimson Flame. Diana needs a good cult trying to destroy her and everything/one she cares about.

Waaaaaay to hard for me to make a decision apparently, but I'm sticking to honesty.

I blush to confess that mine is Egg Fu.

I do really like Giganta, though.

Ares has always been my favorite Wonder Woman villain due to as you guys he is bodies everything that Wonder Woman tries to fight ad rid the world of as well as he's an awesome visual. I always thought of him as being Diana's Lex Luthor or Joker because

Superman is justice and is physically powerful and almost unstopptable while Lex Luthor is injustice and is financially powerful and almost "unstoppable" for this reason.

Batman is order and darkness while the Joker is chaos and "joy".

Wonder Woman is peace, love, and truth while Ares is war, hatred, and hyprocritism.

To me, Ares wishes not only to spread the flames of hate across the world but also make Diana fail her mission and make her no different then his "worshipers". To Ares, the greatest victory for him is Diana losing faith in humanity, losing faith in her mission of peace, or taking a human life. That kind of victory is greater to him then him just simply killing Diana.

I also love how in Rucka's version, how smooth and charming Ares was . Rucka was the closest to make Ares an actual character or how I envision the character who actually is Ares. Sadly the closest the comics have gotten in how envision Ares has been with another character, Neron. The idea that this guy looks and sounds so smooth, handsome, and charming but at the same can tear your organs out of your body and paint them all over the room is a element I wish was with Ares. Ares has so much potential at being the same level of threat as Darkseid and wish Gail does more with the character.

Cronus is another character who is an awesome visual and has so much potential.

Dr. Cyber. Loved her in THE POWER COMPANY. She's the head of a vast criminal empire. Perfect adversary for Wonder Woman and her small army of allies.

I'm on the other side. I hate the armor, and I absolutely love his look from Rucka's run. I'd also say Ares written by Rucka is my favorite Wonder Woman villain, followed by Circe and Veronica Cale.
