Cool stuff IS coming. I've been talking with James Robinson, and man, Donna is going to get a fantastic spotlight and LOTS of questions will be answered, INCLUDING the origin of a certain silver lasso... ;)

Black Canary owns your world.
Really? I'm guessing this'll be happening in JLA where she's going to be part of the team?

I had some ideas. I hope I can still email you. I only sent you four emails regarding the upcoming Wonder Woman issues (starting about 04/23/2009). Can I still email you here at this forum? Am I being blocked from emailing you? Would it be a way to tell that you messages are being blocked in this forum by the intended recipient of your message? I last email you on 08/24/2009.

Well, I personally can't wait! I LOVE Donna troy! and I want her to have her lasso back...be it gold or silver. Although, I have been intigued over the possibility of a silver lasso for years now! I dressed as a male version of Donna for Halloween years ago(my ex was Wonder Boy!)and I had a silver lasso at my side. The costume just wouldn't have been complete without it.
I just hope the story is written well. I admit...I wish anything Donna related was written by Phil Jiminez(or George Perez of course!)because I know he loves the character and KNOWS the character.
I'm waiting with baited breath and crossed fingers...

His "Golden Age" was pure genious. But CFJ sucks its so boring, nothing is happening at all, and everybody is not acting like themselves....
I am happy that Donna is getting the spotlight, after she was cheated by the 52 and One Year Later. I can't wait to see her costume.
I just hope they avoid revisiting her origins....ever...again.
I would put the odds much higher.
Very few writers can overcome being paired with the wrong artist. While Mauro Cascioli draws pretty pictures, they are a horrible fit for a dialog-driven writer. I can think of very few writers who are more dialog-driven than James Robinson.
Comics are similar to movies in that way. Most actors and, in particular, comedic actors will tell you that what sells a clever bit of dialog is less the delivery of the line than the reaction. When Robinson is working with an artist who draws great reactions, he looks like a genius. Paul Smith is master of facial expression, so is Tony Harris. An artist like Cascioli is almost too detailed to work well with Robinson. The critical facial reaction gets lost amid all the other detail. They are better off working with less character focused writers and drawing big action scenes that need a ton of detail.
Pair Robinson with anyone who has pulled off a dialog-heavy book in the past and I would say it is probably going to be great. Artists like Kevin Maguire or Gary Frank would be great fits with Robinson. JUSTICE LEAGUE is being drawn by Mark Bagley, who did 100 of SPIDER-MAN with Brian Michael Bendis. Bendis is exactly the same type of writer as Robinson. So, I would say the title is going to be a pretty good read.
that is probably the most awesome thing I've read today. I dressed as Wonder Woman for holloween once but every year I promise myself to dress as Donna. I don't know how I'd handle all the "who are you dressed as?" comments.
And yes, Perez and Himenez do the *best* Donna. Their love for her shines through. I get the same sense when Gail writes Etta and Dinah, actually.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm always grateful when Donna gets any sort of recognition or spotlight but that seems to lead to disappointment a lot. Fingers crossed.
