Default The trade off: Starfire & Firestar

What would happen if DC & Marvel decided to trade off
their fictional characters (Starfire & Firestar respectively)
after the Marvel vs DC miniseries back in 1997?

What would happen if DC & Marvel made this a permenent trade off?

How well would both heroines do their jobs at heroism in different worlds?

How would comicdom fans react to this turn of events?

And most importantly, what kind of (and how many) retroactive changes
would DC & Marvel arranged in order to have Starfire & Firefire's histories
become apart of each others' universes?

Marvel is probably getting the better end of that.

DC is losing a core Titan, and getting a retired heroine that's just dealing with her cancer issues.

I think Starfire could do well in the MU cosmic scene.

I'm not sure it would have had much of an effect on either really. Spidey would have a new supporting cast member and with the whole BND storyline, potential red-headed girlfriend.

Neither one is very interesting nor important to their universes. Basically it's a wash of non-interest.

I agree, and I was even a fan of the Wolfman/Perez Titans.

If Firestar were published by DC, she might actually get featured regularly!

Firestar can go to DC fairly easily, especially now that her ties to Justice and the Avengers have been rendered moot in plot terms; Starfire, on the other hand, has an entire planet (Tamaran), an archfoe (her sister Blackfire), and her connection with Nightwing has been built into stories like Kingdom Come.

If that other stuff doesn't come with her, it gets weird around the edges; if it does, it has to somehow be jammed in. This trade kind of screws DC a bit in terms of quantity of affected externals, whatever the basic marginality of both characters seems at first glance.

Firestar would end up in JSA crowd scenes, and Starfire would be drawn by Greg Land.

Oops, I should've included Startfire & Firestar's supporting cast, villains and
whatnot in this scenario too. Anyway, I'll included them in this scenario now.

Also, I believe the Tamarans would played their parts in Marvel major cosmic
events (if Marvel does have them to appear in those events) like the "Annihination"
    limited series, for instance.
