I never felt he was the right guy to bring us Wonder Woman. He did a great Job on Buffy but I do not think he would have done the same for Diana.

I am most definitely a WONDER WOMAN FAN!!
Agreed. I loved Buffy, but everything else has been just blah. I never thought he was right. Once I heard his ideas, my feelings were confirmed. If he made the movie it would have been basically Kitty Pryde/Buffy as WW.
"Of all people, you know who I am...who the world needs me to be. I'm Wonder Woman."
You hit that right on the head.
In his interviews he didn't seem to know what he wanted to do with the character. He didn't know what power set he was going to give her. Whether she was going to Jump, Fly on her own or use the Invisible Jet.
That kind of bothered me a bit. As I kept reading I knew for a fact that he was wrong for the Job.
Glad that he is off of it though
I am most definitely a WONDER WOMAN FAN!!
I also agree with you.
Buffy was great, but all of his comments about the project seemed to be saying, WW isn't any good but I will make her interesting by changing everything about her. I think he would have produced a terrible WW film.![]()
I've enjoyed everything he's ever done that he had creative control over.
Not necessarily so much the stuff where he was a hired gun.
Left to his own discretion, I'm 90% sure he'd write a brilliant WW movie. But the chances the studio would leave him alone would be basically nil.
I wish the Joss WW had worked out. But he's much better (and happier, I think) as an auteur.
He wanted to do "Wonder Woman, the TV show I dimly remember: The Movie."
No, Joss.
No.
-younger, possibly teen version of Diana
-no flying, just hopping... yea, bc that looked so great when Lynda did it lol
-no star spangled panties, he didn't say what she would wear but he would remove the panties.
-he was creating his own enemy instead of following Perez's origin... or using any existed DC character
"Of all people, you know who I am...who the world needs me to be. I'm Wonder Woman."
I don't think he was right for the job, but I also think he is VASTLY overrated, so maybe I'm biased.![]()
I think he is overrated and wrong for the job too lol. Listen, I LOVED Buffy but nothing else he has done has come slightly close. Dollhouse was ok but after the 4th episode I was done (mostly bc I couldn't handle Eliza, her blank stare while puffing her lips when Echo's memories were taken away killed me). Even his X-Men run was overrated IMO.... either way, he was wrong for WW. Diana does not need to be recreated.
"Of all people, you know who I am...who the world needs me to be. I'm Wonder Woman."
Buffy was awesome. Angel was great. Firefly was fantastic. (Haven't seen Dollhouse or any of the Dr. Horrible stuff.) However, Astonishing X-Men was sort of meh and his stint on Runaways wasn't so good.
Get the people that did the animated movie to write the Wonder Woman live action movie. Just scrap the invisible jet.![]()
"Of all people, you know who I am...who the world needs me to be. I'm Wonder Woman."
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
