Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, told CNN affiliate WIS-TV in Columbia that he, too, was disappointed.

"The president's combative tone did not justify a member of Congress shouting out, 'You lie,' " said Graham. "Our nation's president deserves to be treated with respect. It was an inappropriate remark, and I am glad an apology has been made."

Combative tone? Did we watch the same speech? Graham is as ridiculous as Wilson. Geesh

I didn't watch the speech, so I let that slide... but Graham being ridiculous is hardly news.

I wish the Democrats had that lack of manners when Bush was pushing the Iraq war or his tax cuts for the rich. He could've used a dose of the rudeness.
Being rude to a guy trying to bring healthcare to people less fortunate than the members of Congress, that's not just being rude, that's being an asshole.

Wilson only apologized about interrupting the speech. He still believes aliens will be covered under the plan.

I heard a combative tone when I heard the president chastise members of congress for spreading lies about death panels...now the question is if it was justified.

Also, in his first interview since the heckling, Wilson said he apologized because Republican leaders told him to. Presumably he then went to his room to think about what he'd done.

    Sec. 246 says otherwise....

Oh, and Obama wasn't combative per se, but he was definitely very STERN in comments and didn't pull too many punches.

Default Could have been worse considering

some historic behavior by South Carolina representatives:

Preston Smith Brooks (August 5, 1819 – January 27, 1857) was a Democratic Congressman from South Carolina, known for physically beating Senator Charles Sumner on the floor of the United States Senate.

(Ironic that it was the Democrats who were the party for the secessionist states back then and now its the Republicans who are in revolt, well if you can call being noisy and rude in public a revolt.)

Every time I see the heading for this thread, I think of Carol Kane in Princess bride.

Of course, Valerie the witch was much better looking.

Liar outburst isn't just making money for Wilson's opponents are

Less than a day after Rep. Joe Wilson formally apologized to President Obama over his "you lie" outburst, a campaign aide confirms that the South Carolina Republican has raised "more than $200,000" in the wake of the now-infamous moment.

It's a double bluff. He's covering for his secret masters from outer space.
