Anyone know how I make the threads with the most current replies end up at the top? This would greatly reduce my frustration as I attempt to navigate this site.........

Go to User CP (top left corner), Choose Options. Then look for this box (scroll to it):



Change the Thread Display Mode. See if that helps.

The Forum search currently being re-indexed. Since we over 8 million posts, we do a little chunk here and there so not to bring down the forums for a long time.

Can everyone post pictures that appear in thier response? if so, how do you do it?

If you want to insert a image in a post, you need to copy the image link .

Example:

http://comiccritics.com/wp-content/u...cc_wse_009.gif

In the post you want to insert you click on the icon that looks like a mountain with a sun. A popup box will appear and you paste the link into it. It will insert the link with code tags.

It will look something like

[IMG]http://comiccritics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/cc_wse_009.gif[/IMG]

(You can also type the tags by hand if you like. For a listing of more VB tags, you can go here.)

And will appear like

[Bound4olympus]

What image are you trying to post?

It needs to be hosted on the web someplace in order for the insert image feature to work.

1. Get a free account at http://www.photobucket.com.
2. Upload your picture.
3. Go to your image and click "Share".
4. Click on the tab "Get link code".
5. Look under "IMG for bulletin boards & forums".
6. Copy either the full size link or the thumbnail link.
7. In a CBR post, click the picture icon and paste the image link.
8. Hit OK (or Enter).

It should look like this:

[lMG]http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad338/CBRmodWW/RossWonderWomanMythology.jpg[/lMG]

When you hit Submit Reply, you'll see:

Thanks guys! I actually wasn't attempting any of these things, but I'm sure the info will come in quite handy--! (Once my scanner is back up.....) I'm sure others will find it quite helpful, too.

I've been messing with my settings, just kinda dinking around trying to get a feel for the navigation on this site. I certainly do enjoy the format better than the DCMB and I see lots of folks I know. I've been able to adjust the order of posts within a thread (most recent first), but I still haven't figured out how to do that with the threads themselves, so I'm still scrolling up and down to see what's currently being discussed.

It ain't pretty, but it's working.

In the User CP, click on the Edit Option button in the list on that is on the left.

Scroll down to the Thread Display Options. From there, you can change how thread display on the forums. Here is a description of the various options.
