Exclamation Did you read the Wonder Girl miniseries?

After reading a few threads, it seems to me that not a lot of people here have read the Wonder Girl miniseries. Some people are asking questions that were answered in the story. Others are criticizing Cassie's character(ization) for things that were addressed in the miniseries. So...

    I thought I'd take a poll!

I haven't been able to find it!

I've heard great things about it from my friend, though, who was all "whaaaaaaaat, Cassie got her personality back?"

Yes. Both myself & my 14 year old daughter. She enjoyed it more than I did. I wasn't crazy about the art style. As I get older teen oriented stories don't hold my interest anymore. If my daughter did not read comics I would not be reading stuff like Robin & the other Young Justice kids.

Yes, I read it, and I really liked it. The art was not my cup of tea, but in hindsight, it probably went well with the tone and feel of the story.
I thought Cassie had a great presence in your story. Hope you get to write her again.

I collected and read all six issues, buddy. Over at Comic Bloc, you and I chatted a little bit about how great I thought the series was; how Wonder Girl's costume was a kind of tribute to Superboy and that once she moved past her feelings, the change should be reflect in her costume; the inclusion of The Olympian and Hercules; Wonder Woman; Cassie's friendship with Cissie, Anita, etc. The character's voice, narrative, etc.

Plus, we talked about how boss Sanford Greene is.

So, yep--I read that mini and really enjoyed it. I haven't enjoyed many of her other portrayals outside of the mini, however. And while I'm at it, WONDER WOMAN #13: The scene where the girls approach Wonder Woman and tell her, on behalf of their shy friend, how much of a positive influence Diana is on young women, and about the award-winning essay about Diana being the universal maternal figure that the shy girl wrote--that is Wonder Woman. Period!

No because Cassandra pisses the hell off me.

Yes and I absolutely loved it. I agree with the other posters that your Cassie was one of the few times that I actually enjoyed her as a character. I am really looking forward to you writing more WW based material because I also greatly enjoyed your fill in issues.

I LOVED it...Cassie is a favorite character of mine, so I was thrilled...it's just sad that none of the things established seemed to carry over...would've been great to have the Olympian, and a REAL super hero costume for Cassie stick around...also, the ID, her rekindled friendships...JTorres...lets get a part 2!!!!! I also created an action figure using the new costume design...except I made the pterges on the skirt navy blue...sorry!

    Another failure on DC's part....

I had no idea that this miniseries even existed, and I buy quite a few DC titles (as in, the majority of the mainstream superhero books).

So thanks DC, for yet another miniseries witih no marketing support and for answering ongoing questions regarding a character in a throwaway series that no one was likely to read in the first place!

Next time DC, how about a little marketing a support and maybe one creator that we may have heard of!

I read it and enjoyed it - it was great to see the Global Guardians Olympian (James Robinson's not killed him off, has he?).

DFB8084, that's a tad harsh. Nothing wrong with new-to-comics creators, but J Torres isn't that - if you're a Wonder Family fan you'd have noticed his fill-ins in the Wondy book. And who says it's a throwaway series?

Not yet, but I plan on getting it.

I read it and adored it. I think it worked on all levels: as a story, great art, excellent characterization, captured who Cassie is perfectly, and made me want more.

Can't really ask for much more than that.

I'm going to have to re-read it soon, now.
