Storm, Promethea, and Jenny Sparks join Wonder Woman as my favorite superheroes. I love to read about strong, uber-capable, commanding women. I blame it on my mom.

In no particular order:
Power Girl, Batwoman, She-Hulk, Oracle, Huntress, Spoiler, Monica Rambeau, Catwoman, Jenny Sparks, Manhunter, Molly Hayes, Hawkeye II, and Big Barda
Supergirl, Miss Martian, Rogue, Storm,Jean Grey, Triad/duplicate damsel/triplicate girl, Batgirl (barbara), Batwoman, Donna troy, Raven, XS, Big Barda, Zatanna.
There are just some characters that make me smile whenever I get to read about them.
I'll keep it to a limited list...
DC: Black Canary (obviously), Zatanna, Catwoman. Of the newer characters that I'm still getting to know, I love Manhunter and Batwoman. I really like Huntress, but I'm sort of torn. I liked the re-imagining of Helena in her post-crisis series from the late 80s. I regret that, at least physically, she's evolved into a classic Maxim cover-girl sexpot. There was a lot of debate about whether or not that first post-crisis incarnation was "homely" or "plain". Whatever she was, I thought it was more interesting than her (physical) character design now. As for the actual arc of her character and personality, I think it has continued to build off that original series which is great.
Marvel: Shadowcat (despite the mess they've made of her over the years), Spider-Woman (used to love her, glad to see her back), Mockingbird (hey, she's the poor man's Black Canary, I have to list her even though they haven't done anything interesting with her), Scarlet Witch (another character that, for me, has been ruined as an unnecessary plot device). A lot of the Marvel characters I like have suffered through horrific story choices, so I'm more a fan of their characters in the late 80s.
Big Barda, The Question(Renee, obv.) , Oracle, Black Canary, She-Hulk, Huntress, and a few others. Though I think those would be the top ones for me.
It's interesting. Scarlet Witch used to be my favorite Marvel character but ever since John Byrne got his claws into her over in Avengers West, she has started a downward slide which culminated in the abominable interpretation that Bendis inflicted on her. She used to rock!
Ditto Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew used to be a major favorite of mine, but since Bendis brought her back, I just haven't found her nearly as interesting.
As for Mockingbird, I actually enjoyed the Clint and Bobby miniseries Marvel published earlier this year.
