    Default Other Favorite Super Heroines

Obviously WW is the favorite on this board but what other female characters do you like to read about?

I like Power Girl. Birds of Prey (Dixon & Simone stories). Black Canary. She-Hulk. Masquerade (Dynamite).

    Oooh.

Barda. Fire & Ice. Sue Dibney, Donna Troy.

I know I'm leaving some out, but that's my basic top tier.

I always loved Storm from the Xmen she is unique in that she was mother figure as well as leader of the xmen during the best run of the comic (imo mid 80s to around 93).

Rogue is a great character her southern belle with attitude characterisation (at around the same time as storms best) was always interesting to read.

    Default Self-Confessed Super-Heroine Buff

I basically read comics to read about super heroines, so I pretty much love 'em all. I recently ranked my favorite Marvel and DC heroines, so I've listed them below. Lots of obscure Marvel characters, but my all-time favorite heroine is Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman. Over in DC you can see I'm a big fan of the Legion of Super Heroes, and surprisingly, Wonder Woman comes in third on that list! Neil Gaiman's rendition of the Black Orchid pushed that unlikely heroine to the top of the DC list. I could go on and on, but I decided to limit my lists to 20 each. You can read my analysis of my favorite Marvel heroines at http://justgiblets.com/2009/07/22/mi...superheroines/. I'm still working on my DC list, but will post it there soon.

    [QUOTE=4PointOh;9576707]Batwoman:

I've latched on to Batwoman in a big way. I love her! Glad to see her getting such a prominent role in Detective Comics.

And thrilled to see you mention Black Orchid in your list of heroines!

Greg Rucka's doing an AMAZING job on DETECTIVE COMICS with Batwoman, and J.H. Williams is drawing what has got to be the best looking comic I have ever seen. Honestly.

And Black Orchid? She's been my favorite for a really, really long time. I prefer the "superhero" version to Neil Gaiman's version (although I really loved Gaiman's imaginative mini):

At DC I'm a huge fan of a lot of female characters but to single out a few (well slightly more than a few!)

JLA/JSA - Zatanna, Power Girl, Vixen, Black Canary, Barbara Gordon (as Batgirl & Oracle), Big Barda & Mera
    Titans - Donna Troy, Starfire
LSH - Dream Girl, Saturn Girl, Phantom Girl, White Witch

Plus Manhunter, Madame Xanadu & Firehawk

Also loved Nightshade in the Suicide Squad days & Catwoman if she counts.

    Over at Marvel

Always loved the long time Avengers ladies so Wasp, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel plus Firestar & Spider Woman. Invisible Woman makes the FF for me and Storm & Jean Grey are the best of the X-Women.

Oh and Hellcat & Valkyrie in the old Defenders days.

It would? Well never mind, then.

Could you imagine a series where all the women in your signature teamed up to battle some great force of evil?
