I'll always support Benes art. I think this looks incredible.

So is Benes supposed to be still a Hot Ticket item.. or is he 'so 5-minutes ago'"? I can nebver tell. I know George Perez is now considered to be "so 80,s" and Adam Hughes "so 90's", but I can never tell. Personally I don't view things that way. To me, a good artist is always a good artist.

Oh, I most certainly agree with the bolded...some of my all-time favourite artists are from way back in the 80's and 90's...He is a superb artist...line, composition, dynamism, body proportions...it is just that Benes' overtly sexual rendering of WW in particular...even in the cover above, just does not feel "in character" to me, personally...Wonder Woman is not all about "bangers and arse" and that is all she seems to project from those posted illustrations, specifically.
In contrast, I absolutely love Chaing's WW currently...in the past seven issues I have not seen one panel where-in Diana is pushing out her chest, arching her back to let us know that her buttocks are truly and magnificently sculpted...albeit not from clay.![]()

I hate Chiang's Wonder Woman specifically because there's no "bangers and arse". She's looks old fashioned and not at all attractive to me. There's a happy medium between Chiang and Benes, it's called Dodson. His women are always sexy but it's never in a way that feels forced or calculated. His overall art in general is better than Chiang's, including action scenes and his ability to tell a story.
