Of course, I vote, Jennifer Wenger, from Confessions of a Superhero:

    More links:

(at 1:23 she's on a Free Hugs video)

here she is at one of the many cons she's attended

    Classic WW action at 2:07

So, who would you want as your live action Wonder Woman?

EDIT: Oh, I found this too, it's an older link, 2008, but it's great to hear some of her stories and whatnot. It's a radio interview with Jennifer (she comes in at the 33:42 moment)!

An unknown actress, but I don't know of any new actresses to name. :) A known actress may carry "star power", but I think it might be a better fit for the debut of WW to the big screen for people to focus on the character and not the actress.

For me it should be an unknown actress as well. There are many possibilites of actress in Latin America.

I would sooner see Valerie Perez http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/142066/p12 star in a fan-made WW film then see Hollywood ruin her by fighting cyborg zombie nazis or whatever.

I like Colbie Smulders from How I Met Your Mother. I think she would be perfect.

    Peri Gilpin. She was Frasier.

What? Didn't anyone else think 'Perfect!' when Roz dressed up as Wonder Woman for that Halloween episode?
    Just saying...

Actually, I think she would make a nice, older Wonder Woman now.

I heartily agree. Whenever someone suggests someone I cannot help but think

looks too american. Too short. Not talented. Too plastic. Lack of physical presence, no charisma... Grating voice.... Etc. The baggage of an already famous person only adds to the problem.

I will say that Lynda Carter must be Hippolyta. Period.

Got to be able to act. Nadia Bjorlin looks the part, but can she act?

I keep coming back to the idea of casting an extremely wide net to try to find a talented "unknown" who looks the part. In part because the current "Hollywood starlet selection process" tends to come up with wafer-thin "model with implants" types.

I keep thinking I'd look for someone like a tall college volleyball player with a great physique and physical presence who also has an interest in drama. A tall order, but cast a wide enough net, maybe you'll find her?

Olga Kurylenko is my only choice for Wonder Woman!

    Catherine Zeta Jones as Hippolyta

And I like Bryce Howard for Artemis

That's not Kate Mara. That's Bryce Howard. Kate is like 5'3 for one thing.

Byce Dallas Howard would be a great Artemis, but I see her playing Artemis more chilly than the hot tempered Artemis I've come to know. It might actually work, though. If she played it more predatory, like a VERY focused and reserved archer type.

You're right. I initially wanted to put Kate, but I changed my mind when I saw she was playing Bethany Cabe in Iron Man 2.
