Is the RFG that I read about in JLA #35 , to-day's series , boast the same members that Gardner Fox wrote of in the Silver Age ? Some ?
I remember a New Titans in the late 80s where a RFG member , in an argument , simply casually spiked out anothr RFG member's eye . Eyy-yuch !mad: : After that , at least in that story , he appeared in an eyepatch .
Was this story wiped away over the years , in Final Night or Final Crisis or anywhere else ? Everyone on my JLA#35 appears two-eyed .
Some years ago I read an interesting story in one of the Superman titles , during the " weekly " period , in which the RFG were presented as a super-hero worl'd equivalent of the Crips/Bloods , Gangsta Disciples , etc. , a running/" franchised " street gang made up of disaffected/disillusioned/criminally inclined youth who manage to acquire old/bootleg super-technology and set up in responsive areas , the story revolved around Superman and the MPD trying to get them out of Suicide Slum . I never saw this used again but the JLA#35 story does appear to indicate that
there can be other members of the RFG , tho , seeminngly , only the " super " original one??
