    Default Sensation Comics

I wish DC would revive the title. Have it star some of Diana's supporting cast with maybe a Wildcat story as the co-feature like it was back in the 40's.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is probably going to have a tremendous amount of fan support, but what do I know :)

I know. I really would like to read some more WW stories than her monthly series. I think she has a great supporting cast that has not been spotlighted like the Superman or Batman families have been....

...To be " realistic " , I voted no . It just seems that Wondy cannot support more that one title ( Even if her name/rep means that she can carry the occasional big book project . ) , that's been the case ever since the original Sensation dropped her ( and super-heroes in general ) in its last several issues .

I know it would be very difficult in today's market for her to support a second title. It's just that I was reading the posts about reader's favorite WW story & I realized that she has had many great stories in the modern era. I consider many of those stories so much better than many other books that sell much better....

Yes, it could focus more on Wonder Woman as a superhero rather than a warrior. The Greek Gods and Amazonian intrigue could remain in her eponymous title.

But how do you convince people that aren't reading the regular title that this slight variation is a must read? Detective and Batman focus( for the most part) on distinctly seperate aspects that can mix, but are really synonymous either.

The best idea I could see was a DMA series in the vein of Rucka's Gotham Central, but Wonder Woman doesn't have the villains to support that.

I think it would be cool, but ONLY if it has an absolutely stellar, and I mean STELLAR, creative team!

Gail Simone and Nicola Scott would be perfect! *HINT, HINT*

As for content, it would be cool to see Diana featured with a different supporting cast member for each arc and the two pitted against a classic Wonder Woman Rogue as well as Diana teaming with other ladies of the DCU. Think, "Wonder Woman in Brave and the Bold".

-Diana and Donna Troy versus Cheetah!
-Diana and Steve versus Doctor Cyber!
-Diana and Etta versus Gundra the Valkyrie!

Diana with teamed with other female DC Heroes....

-Diana and Black Canary versus Giganta!
-Diana and Batwoman versus Veronica Cale!
-Diana and Zatanna versus Queen of Fables!
-Diana and Vixen versus Angle Man!

    Just a thought.

    Peace,

    Kyle

...Perhaps Wondy fans could get 18-24 issues before it went under:rolleyes: of a series with some supporting characters/villian spotlights , etc. , , and some brief/different creator/other times in her life WW stories maybe like the 32-page Spider-Man Unlimited that Marvel had a few years ago but with some actual stories , please .

Sure she does. Veronica Cale, Villiany Inc., and Doctor Cyber are all villains that could be written in espionage-noir-ish stories.

My idea for Sensation has always been: how does Wonder Woman interact with the heroic community! I'd pull in a handful of heroes (who have no current titles) as the main cast, and Wonder Woman would mostly be a guest-star in this book. Other heroes should guest-star as well, but I don't think it should be a "team-up" book. At one time, I had more specific ideas, but I don't remember them all now.

I do like the idea of a Wildcat back-up feature for Sensation! :)

^You mean like the Brave and the Bold?

    1. Gotham Central was cancelled
    2. Assuming you want to book to sell to more than just WW fans. None of those people are Batman villain level interest to outside fans.
    3. Selling it to WW fans would probably put Etta and Steve at the forefront. Again, interesting for us. Not exactly a draw to other readers.

Whatever they do I want GAIL SIMONE and NICOLA SCOTT piloting it from the beginning for a long damn time.

If I recall correctly, I thought Nicola once said in an interview that one of the things that got her into comics was to one day draw Wonder Woman.

These two ladies love Diana with a passion and deserve to have their own Wonder Woman title together!

    Paging Dan DiDio....

Yes! I would love for this to come to fruition! Maybe have Sensation focus more on the Wonder Woman family, and then have the Wonder Woman title just for Diana.

I'm all for another WW title. I think the new 'Second-Feature' format would work well for a relaunch, a la Adventure Comics. Get an all-star creative team to work on the primary story (focusing on Diana of course), and put Donna, Artemis, Hippolyta et al in the back-up story.

And if editorial doesn't think 2 Wonder-centric characters will sell back to back, use the second feature to highlight other underused females. I'd love Titans-less stories with the current Hawk & Dove (assuming Holly survives Blackest Night) or maybe we could see some of that Fire & Ice that fans used to clamor for back in the old JLI/A letter columns...?
