Skirt or Shorts?

She started in a star spangled skirt, soon moved to shorts and now has what Joss Whedon derided as "panties." Which do you prefer? And let's not kid ourselves. None of it is practical so let's not get into that debate.

I think it'd work best as Darwyn Cooke's version in New Frontier. Heavy (armor?) skirt with shorts underneath

I prefer the leather strip skirt (pteryges) from the ancient armor (like on Ares' armor). There's no real choice for that, though. A regular skirt would send Carol into a tizzy, I believe. :)

100% Ditto. The only time I like the skirt is when it's the leather-strappy one, and that's only when Diana's suited up for some ass-kicking.

Concur with pro-skirt voters. The skirt of leather pleats (aegisbearer is right: Pteruges , people). With the classic Wonder Woman bottoms underneath that. No reason you can't have both. Practical, provides coverage, and you can't deny it sends a message.

I wouldn't mind if the red bodice was more of a jumpsuit with a "skirt" hanging in front and behind (more like pieces of fabric, like a warrior would wear, than a "skirt").

I also wouldn't be against the star spangled theme to be more like the "starfield" ala Donna Troy's costume, which was a gift from the Titans (except instead of black with white stars it could be navy with white stars).

I voted for skirt, but I'm also okay with the 'panties.'

Both look good, but skirts are just a little more classy, and with Wonder Woman they're more iconic.

Definitely not the original skirt or shorts. But I've always liked the idea of a Xena-ish warrior skirt on her. Or the fabric hanging in front and behind idea.

Pants wouldn't hurt. I don't mind the current look, tho, as long as I can avoid the artists who draw 'thong' instead of 'panties.'
