Vastly inferior? I think you might be exagerrating that more than just a little.

Okay. You're entitled to think so. But any Marvel Universe with no Wolverine and no Thor definitely seems suckier to me.

A line that turn bad have shitty story, poor treatment and awful series.Having a universe without two characters is just two characters that are not there but it doesn`t affect the quality of the books. You are way too hard on the books.Myself im a huge spider-man fan and even when i heard he died it wasn`t a reason to leave the line.

With the massive fan base that Wolverine and Thor command how could their involvement not improve the universe?? I'm not gonna say the UU is crap with out them, but I have definitely lost a lot of excitement for the line since Wolverine was killed. (A lesser extent for Thor). Just the fact that people here are talking about these characters proves that their recognition is a powerful tool to be used in the stories.

But he didn't die, you can't really know the frustration of having your favorite character being killed off if they aren't killed off. I agree it's not a reason to leave the line but it is a huge deal to those of us who have followed these characters from the beginning and now they're not there anymore. You can't put a price on how much enjoyment a fan gets from reading about his/her favorite characters. It's a big deal to me that I know I won't be reading any Ult. Wolverine anytime soon (big deal as far as my comic enjoyment is concerned) and it really frustrates me when people say "just get over it." The vast majority of people who say this still have there fave characters to read about.

Does anyone have a link to the mentioned interview(s)?

And didn't Wolverine die in Ultimatum? So, it must be a story about his past, right?

Well i dont know anything outside that he was refered as the main characters^the third arc is mostly wolverine^but my guess is that either his death was a cover up and millar decided to ignore loeb handling of his death,or dracula is bringing wolverine back to live and because he is the only one who know about dracula and events and he escaped or he play a double agent role,he join project avengers, make tony sick, announce the truth about dracula and nick fury put together a black ops team to kill dracula.

Or it can indeed be a story about wolverine past and that dracula is somehow related to him.

    You can find a link about it easily but from what i know about the third arc;

-it dracula and the artist is the second best selling artists of the decade

    -wolverine,iron man,perun,reed richard,giant man^a new one^,the spider,blade and spider-man will be the cast of it

-the first four characters have been announced during a interview here about millar plan for uca.A new giant man have been mentionned during a interview,i dont remember where but i think it was in wizard maybe. The spider have been announced by millar to be there as a source of mystery, reading novels and eating piece of meats.Blade have been confirmed to be there as well, and since millar mentionned that he would like to write spider-man quite badly and that he know about vampires due to the morbius story in usm,my guess is that he will be there but probably only for this arc

    thats all i found:
There's got to be a connection, otherwise the book will just feel like a bunch of mini-series. So there are little things that will weave in and out of each story. And the characters float in and out. Like, Captain America is a big deal in the first one, less of a big deal in the second one as The Punisher becomes a bigger deal. The third arc is mainly Wolverine, but you will get a little bit of Iron Man and Thor in there as well as Reed Richards. They all weave in and out of each others stories. They're going to feel related to each other in the same way that 'Secret Invasion' feels related to "Civil War." They're absolutely all in the same universe, but it's just one big event after the other.

all i found mentioning these arcs....no mention of kang. wolverine and thor hmmmmm. if two characters were to be brought back from the dead, i would say these two. only logical ones.
    RIP Spider-Man

I'm really looking forward to the Dracula arc. I can't wait to see how Millar will handle Blade!

Didn't Millar say that the New Thor is actually Perun?

Yes, and the common thread is Nick Fury, who is gathering the team for each event.

Not sure where I read it, but in one interview he did mention that he had an idea for Ultimate Kang and that maybe he would use him as the villain in his big fourth and final arc.

Mainly I'm just pumped that Wolverine will be coming back, even if it's only temporarily. I read somewhere that Fury might be using time travel to bring him back, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's a more permanent solution (either SHIELD regrows his body or even creates a new Wolverine).

I read that the new Thor is Valkyrie over in the New Ultimates. Perun is the Russian "god of thunder," but he may be taking Thor's place in Millar's third Ultimate Avengers arc (since the real Thor is dead). Personally I'd rather have Thor back, and Millar's Thor at that.

The Dracula arc is the one I'm anticipating the most. It's about time the horror genre gets represented in the Ultimate universe.
