Default The Baeg Tobar Art Thread

    Hello folks!

Well, I've lurked for a while and of course, I pop in for news on comics on a regular basis - but so far, I've never posted on the forums. Anyway, I'm just gearing up to start promoting the big collaborative project I run called Baeg Tobar.

I thought I might open up with some of my own work for the project and maybe down the line, I'll post some artwork from some of the artists involved in the project (and there are many, all of which are super talented).

Anyway, the first piece is the pencils for a print. This is going to be a limited edition print that I made to sell at Wizard World Texas in November (big comic convention).

This will actually be coloured by Chris Summers and will be a signed and numbered limited edition print.

Also, here's another piece I did way back when Baeg Tobar was just getting started...

This one was actually coloured by a friend of mine, Mike Perry.

Anyway, if these images interest you, by all means, check out Baeg Tobar! http://www.baegtobar.com

I'll post some more artwork soon! Thanks!

I've perused through your website a bit and I'm finding myself quite interested in the world you guys are building. Keep it up and I'll continue to read and comment.

Hey, thanks guys! I appreciate it!

Yeah, we're constantly working on the site and adding new things for people to read or look at. Once we get our other three webcomics up and running, I pretty much have updates on the site for just about every day.

And I'm always happy to hear feedback, so let me know what you think of the site!

I think BT is going to be a great creative outlet for art and writing! There are a myriad of possabilities, anyway...

Your site is completely fascinating. I've barely scratched the surface and I'm enthralled.

Hah! Thanks Booster! There's alot of stuff to read and look at on the site, so I hope you enjoy looking through it all and getting familiar with the world. Plus, we'll almost constantly be adding new material, heh!

Anyway, William Ward (the writer for The Stoneteller) and I were interviewed by Brant W. Fowler about Baeg Tobar. Brant writes a column for Silver Bullet Comics called Myth Conceptions. He did a great job on the article and I think it is well worth the read. If you have a free minute or two, please check it out!

You can read the interview here - http://silverbulletcomics.com/news/story.php?a=2494 - There is alot of artwork posted with the article for your viewing pleasure, as well!

Also, for good measure, here's a new piece of artwork from Dean Kotz and Garry Henderson. This is the cover for our first webcomic, The Stoneteller.

You can read the comic here - http://www.baegtobar.com/stoneteller/prelude.php?p=1

    Thanks!

    Howdy folks -

Been a little while since I posted. We've been busy working on our webcomics and getting stuff ready for WW Texas.

Anyway, I just wanted to update with our most recent limited edition print - The Aiemer Sharks. This will be available for purchase at the convention, so drop by and say hello!

    Colors by Chris Summers...

Default The World of Baeg Tobar

    Hey folks,

It's been quite a while since I posted over here, so let me introduce myself again - I'm a freelance illustrator and designer based out of Lawrence, Kansas. I've been around CBR before now, I just don't make it over to the forums all that often, rather, I check out the comic news on the front page more often.

Anyway, I'm planning a relaunch of my property Baeg Tobar in October, so to help get ready, I thought I'd start by sharing some of the artwork we've been working on.

Here is the cover (when it's complete, we'll be including a logo on the left along with a small amount of teaser text) of the webcomic. I'll be posting more pages over the next few weeks as I complete them and get everything ready for launch. Scott Colby and Daniel Gooden are writing the story, Alan Gallo did the pencils, and I'll be doing the colors and letters.

Of course we would love to hear your feedback!

You can find more at http://www.baegtobar.com.

    Thanks!

    Thanks armandoB! We appreciate it!

So, we're launched and online, finally. Which means you can actually go read the story at http://www.baegtobar.com. Just click on that "webcomic" link on the left.

That also means I have more art to put up here to show a little bit more of the process. Here's the next page -

Pencils by Alan Gallo, Colors by me.

I thought I might also throw up the actual finished cover (with title and credits) as well.

There is also a myriad of other material to be found over at the website. Please, check it out and let us know what you think!
