Default CBR: Fan Expo: Mondo Marvel

While no announcement was made about a new "Alpha Flight" book, the Canadian audience at Fan Expo was provided with a peek into the future of Marvel Comics with Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, and CBR was there.

WTF, a new Boomerang and the Rose? Why not use the originals (well, not the Rose, but use Jacob Conover!)?!

    Q: What's happening with Runaways?

Immonen said that “something big” is going to happen in issue #14, so fans should "buy the hell out of issue #14."

Tough I´d like to see Namor on his own title, I think Quesada is totally right, there´s just some characters that have to wait for the right moment to get their series. I liked Namor´s series by Byrne and Jae Lee. Or Silver Surfer with Ron Marz, Jim Starlin and Ron Lim. But right now I couldn´t afford buying Namor so I´d have to pass. Maybe in a couple of years.

Yeah I agreed. I didn't ask in an angry way or anything. I just asked what with his higher profile in the X books would he be featured more prominently any time soon. I'd be happy with semi-frequent minis especially the occasional MK ones like "The Depths".

Any bit of Namor is good.

Q: Following the X-Force "Necrosha" event, will any of the currently dead X-Men-related characters remain alive?

    "Yes, some," Quesada said.
Here's hoping for Pyro and Destiny. Everyone else is secondary.

Incorrect. Doug is all that matters. None before Doug.

He'd just be useless and die again. I like the character also, but I don't see it.

didn't sound like they were using a new Boomerang to me. sounds like the old one just got a new look; at least by the other interview i read. i guess i'll wait and see what happens to Fred Myers in the Initiative book. that new costume is extremely bland.

Quesada replied, "Big plans. I've spoken about the story she will be involved in, but have not mentioned her by name, but she will be brought directly into the middle of the Marvel Universe."

Ugh...does anyone remember when Wanda was an actual charater and not an event machine? And while were at it, can we send X-23 and Daken back to the depths of awful fanfic from whence they came?

My thoughts on this one is the previously mentioned Young Avengers miniseries that Heinberg is working on. I think it was supposed to come out in the Spring of 2010.
