Default CBR: Fan Expo: Darwyn Cooke

Canada's own Darwyn Cooke was placed in the spotlight at his very own discussion panel at Fan Expo Canada, where he discussed "Parker: The Hunter," "Jonah Hex," "The New Frontier" and more.

Thanks. D. Cooke is probably my favorite creator right now. I picked up Parker: The Hunter the day it was released and have read through it twice now. It does not disappoint. It's true to the source material and even better than the Lee Marvin film, and I'm a big Lee Marvin fan. Who ain't, really? I can't wait for the next one as well as Hex #50. Cooker is a bit outspoken as far as DC editorial goes....good for him. He's earned the right to speak out and call it like it is. I just hope that the people that need to hear it do so with open ears.

Cooke feels that his work is viewed as too “old-time” by DC, saying the company doesn’t want his work on a title because it fears that Cooke might drag the book down and shoo away potential readers.
Many idiots working at DC eh ??

Cooke never said that. He simply said they didn't think his style would work for a mainstream title.
