How many comic book stores are there in Traverse City today? Last time I looked around, they still only had ONE.
Launching a new con there is a mighty strange idea.
Damn, I will be there just a couple of weeks too late.
That sucks wish I would have known about it sooner. I'm down state a bit but have relatives up that way.
This was my first con.
C3 turned out amazing. Final door count is not in, but apparently it was around 1,000 not including the kids that got in for free.
From what I understand all but two of the exhibitors would have been willing to buy more tables for next year on the spot. Day one alone made the trip well worth it for lots of the exhibitors.
I volunteered there and I was very impressed how well it turned out and it was rushed in three months time.
Now, from the fan's view. I didn't expect to spend the money that I did. I filled quite a few holes in my collection and I paid $1 for just about everything.
I can’t remember the last time I had such a great time.
There will be a C3 '10. It's a matter of when it will occur.
And now that there is more then three months to plan, we know how to cut costs and get more money, everyone including the exhibitors know what to expect, next year should be even better.

Nice to see they could get something off the ground. It's a nice area in the summer, but a bit out of the way I would think.
