Arrow What is your favorite, SINGLE comic issue written by Gail?

Of all the things Gail has written--THE SIMPSONS, ACTION COMICS, BIRDS OF PREY, WONDER WOMAN, SECRET SIX, VILLIANS UNITED, TEEN TITANS, THE ATOM, WELCOME TO TRANQUILITY, DEADPOOL, THE LEGION, ROSE & THORN, GEN 13, etc--what has been your absolute FAVORITE single issue?

This is really tough because I can think of five issues right off the bat, but I think I'm going to go with WONDER WOMAN #19 because of this scene:

I love that scene. It shows Wonder Woman's best qualities :), the way that while she's a powerful warrior she's willing to offer the olive branch of peace at the same time. That said my favourite EVER issue has to be the double date issue of Secret Six. It has two of my favourite sixers Jeanette and Scandal as the main characters, it has Ragdoll's Tiny Six dream, it's got Scandal buying dog collars for Jeanette's bondage fun and Insignificus who, like Ragdoll, is both funny and sad.

Plus it has Liana who I'm hoping we'll see again. Scandal deserves some happiness after losing Knockout.

Which: the WONDER WOMAN story or the SECRET SIX story?

That's a really good story, too. I missed Nicola on the art, but the fill-in artist was incredible!

I agree, Wonder Woman #19 was brilliant characterization.

And the artwork really captured it.

I'd have to go with Simpsons Comics #50
Gail's story of how Bongo comics are made was downright cute, very funny and what we need more of in today's comics...FUN. I'd take fun over shitty grim and gritty any day of the week.

and there are 2 reasons for that

1: Dinah buying all the dolls of herself with the "wing" costume
2: one of the few appearances by Ollie in the last 6 years where he is not a total dusche

Tough question, but I'm going with Birds of Prey #56.

You can bruise a Canary and you can batter the Oracle, but you can never break them.

There is an amusing story about that I'll tell a little later. :)

Deadpool #67. And I HATE Deadpool.

But I love the Dazzler. I had to hunt through 6 states to find a copy. So I bought 3 once I did.

So much great stuff to chose between.

I'm going with WW #15 for these two pages alone, which stand as two of the finest pages I've ever read in a comic book:
