    This could go either way.

It could be either the greatest Bomb Queen arc yet - or it could be where it Jumps the Shark. Don't let us down, Jimmy.

I vote for jump the shark with greatness.
There's a reason the cover says, "Commemorative Jump The Shark Edition" Haha!

I hope it doesn't let folks down -- I am giving it my best.
But I'm developing the whole thing as a solid beginning, middle, end.
Thus, the first issue might be more set up and less chaos that many readers expect.

But trust me... at the end of this arc, there will be NO confusion about who is the villain.

It'll be ... interesting to see how the non-comics world reacts, particularly when this is actually out.
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."
Basically, if you miss the wonder of a dog flying around in a little Superman cape, you're in the wrong hobby.

I was gonna avoid this because Obama comics annoy me but those preview pages are hilarious.

    Thank you.
    That's what I'm hoping for.
This is not your mother's Obama comic.

It's more like Yo' Momma's Obama comic.
I will break as many rules as Image allows me,
or until Homeland Security takes me away. Hah!

    If they even notice it.
I'm sure they'll read and judge Bomb Queen by-the-cover, just like they did The New Yorker Magazine. Satire and black comedy doesn't play well in the court of public opinion.

But I understand that and I'll take whatever slings and arrows they throw at me.... I'm used to it by now. Bomb Queen is a divisive book with an acquired taste. I should know, I make it that way. Hah!

Your welcome. It was really Barack the barbarian that brought me to that point. I like how it's being handled here. That should really be the way to handle politics in context of superhero comics if you ask me. But then again I love what Frank Miller has been doing to superhero comics as well.

I have to ask, is frank miller an influence on your work? DK2 although everyone hates it I loved it, i thought worked it's best when it went into satire or maybe I just misunderstood that book. Anyway I feel like you and Frank have been on similar tracks for most of this century.

Before this book is published for September, I would change Obama's name a little bit.

    I like your book.

But if you are brave enough to depict Obama being harmed by Bomb Queen why not Bush or Mohamed? It is because Obama and people that like him, such as yourself, won't go after you for what you have drawn and written.

The Bush Administration *created* Bomb Queen so beating up on Bush doesn't work so well.
Plus, Bomb Queen would not totally hate Bush. However, she does hate Obama.
It's just a matter of staying with the character -- even if it does not match my own views.

You never used Bill Shattner's name. He, he.

Glenn Beck said "Well, yeah. Bomb Queen is the woman with the brains and the plan."
