I never did get around to reading this series? Is it any good? What other titles would you compare it to? I'm on an Image super-hero kick so I just may have to give this one a shot.
Dynamo 5 is a great book. It's classic superheroics with all the character work you might expect from an older Spider-Man or X-Men comic. And it looks superb.
Try the first trade paperback, which I believe has the first 6 issues collected for $10.
It will be a shame to see Asrar go. I've been loving his work. But, I kinda knew this was coming given that he's increasingly been doing assignments for Marvel and DC.
I can only hope the next artist gives us the same kind of quality.

Dynamo 5 reminds me of all of the cool things X-Men were a long time ago. I dysfunctional family with super powers trying to make a difference and not kill each other...on purpose or by accident.
I will miss Asrar on the book - he is a true talent. I hope the layoff period is short because I love this title.
It's a bummer that not only Asrar is leaving the book (although it is not too much of a surprise considering all of the outside work he had been taking on recently) but it also looks like the book will be on hiatus for at least 6 months after #25 is released.![]()
I absolutely love Dynamo 5. From the very first issue, I haven't been disappointed. Love the old school superhero fights and the interaction between the characters when both in costume and when just being ordinary people. It's just a really fun book with the right blend of action, drama, and light humor.
I'm another that's really going to miss Asrar, but I have hopes that the art chores will be left in good hands...
Always remember this stuff isn't real.
I'm sad to see Mahmud go, but I wish him all the success he can get in his future work.
Having read Noble Causes, and gone through the artist changes that happened on that book, Jay has a way of attracting great talent and I don't expect a drop in art at all.
