I wonder if we'll end up with a $3.99 Bendis-penned (i.e. revamped) Dr. Strange solo book a year or so before the film is released.

And this is going up as a digital comic, right? Because Marvel isn't giving Strange any love in digital comic land.

    That is fantastic news.

Thanks for coming by to let us know.

Edit: Oh! You're including that story about the Aged Genghis and the time he accidentally sent a mob of potential disciples after Strange.

Marvel is including it. I wouldn't have even known about this, if I hadn't seen it posted online.

Glad to see Marvel re-releasing this. Cannot wait to get my hands on this! Although I have some of the extra material already, it will totally be worth picking up.

Hey Uncle Rog... did you create the Aged Genghis? I love that senile little man.

No, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko gave us the Aged Genghis.

    This just in ...

Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph & Torment ... on sale: August 14, 2013

    FINAL ORDER CUT-OFF DATE: June 24, 2013

As always, it's that Final Cut-Off Date that's the important one! If you don't have your order in with your friendly neighborhood Comic Shop or whoever, you can't be assured that Marvel will print enough copies, and you may not be able to find one. (Without paying crazy ebay prices, that is.)

A word to the wise, and all that.

Dormammu is one of Marvel's best characters but is too often used just as a plot device to make the hero facing him look impressive - e.g. the Brother Voodoo, Sorcerer Supreme thing a couple years back. He's about as threatening as Galactus at this point, which is to say not at all. Too bad, because it's a great waste of what should be an extremely impressive other-worldly figure. It would be nice if Bendis's "new take on the evil sorcerer demon" redressed this problem but I very much doubt it.

I'd like to see a team-up arc with Doc and the Punisher, where they go after an organized crime cartel with occult ties.
