Today is International Women's Day and the night of the full moon.
A perfect day to show Selene's humble and elegant first appearance.

I hope they bring Selene back soon.. I am sure she had some back up plan...

She has a world-wide cult of worshipers they might try to bring her back by sacrificing Amara.

I agree the cult of worshipers has to be organsing some plot for her return.. but why Amara? isnīt Warpath the one responsible for her "death"?mmm I know who I would be sacrificing...
Amara is Selene's great-granddaughter and it is implied that she draws life-energy from the Earth itself, if I were going to perform a Resurrection spell I would definitely use her.

I don't believe it was ever verified that she and Amara have a blood reaction
Easily the coolest x villain we know the least about. Such a shame especially considering how long she's been around. Marvel really treats almost all their female characters like shit; heroes and villains alike. Unless your Emma or happen to have red hair(hopejeanmaddierachel)
She wants to be a Goddess has she ever sepcified how she wants to make that happen?
Also would she choose no lifeforce absorbtion if someone showed her a way she can keep her physical beauty without draining humans and mutants of their life force?
Has she ever talked about why she wears the lingerie outfit?
Titans are in a uphill battle with Jake Locker out for the rest of the season
If it means her joining the X-Men like Emma and so many other X-villains, I would rather her remain out of the picture. Claremont's use of her in New Mutants Forever contradicted everything he had written about her before. She had a good heart and wanted what was best for others. No thanks. The X-Men need villains and Selene is great because she is a major female villain. We don't have enough of those. I think Kyle and Yost had the right idea in bringing her to the forefront, but they missed many opportunities in Necrosha and the ending was absolutely stupid.
To answer your questions.
1) How was explained in Necrosha. Something about absorbing multiple life forces to become a goddess.
2) She was always represented as being evil so she enjoyed absorbing life. Other people were beneath her. She cared nothing for them.
3) The lingerie was standard costume for the Hellfire Club's Black Queen. She never wore it before or since.
Wow, she really was Kyost's one time use story condom, so much hype then just thrown in the trash ;___;
Anyone else think her reason for wanting to fuck with Emma was bullshit? You would think Emma training Firestar to assassinate her would be enough of a reason, but no, "she wore a BLACK OUTFIT?!?! THAT SKANK MST DIEEEEE!!!!!" was what we got.
