    Default The Spirit #32

Last issue of the series. The Spirit is joining DC's new Pulp Fiction book from what I've read.
While this book never lived up to Darwyn Cooke's initial run (no new Spirit Mag would ever equal Eisner) it certainly ended on a high note.
Mike Ploog, the most Eisnerish artist this side of Wally Wood writes and draws a fun tale that puts the Spirit in a mystical Central City swamp. How can you go wrong with Ploog drawing swampy things.
    Very nice valedictorian.

There will be a new "Spirit" series spinning out of "Batman/Doc Savage," Sattler said.
So it should relaunch sometime early next year. I'm looking forward to the next volume of The Spirit myself. I thought the last three issues of The Spirit were a very good way to end its run

Now, lets see how the next relaunch goes and I wonder if Brian Azzarello will be writing The Spirit going forward for a while?
