Default Marvel Unveils New Fantastic Four Teaser

This latest teaser image from Hickman and Eagleshams FF run left me a bit perplexed. It features multiple Reeds confronting multiple Silver Surfers and a visiting Galactus. Click the like below to see what the hell I'm talking about and leave your speculations as to what the heck Hickman could be conjuring up for Marvel first family. Enjoy, all.

    Are those all Ultimate Nullifiers...?

I'm so stoked for this new run. Johnathan Hickman is undoubtedly the best new writer at Marvel. Even as someone who doesn't like the FF, I can't wait for this series.

Based on everything I've seen, I really think this run is going to be one of the best the title has seen.

I love the FF, and the Dark Reign mini was basically a great mini expanded over 5 issues unnecesarily so much so that it was merely 'good'- but that wasn't really Hickman's fault. As long as we avoid any more silly moments like "Oh no, a man is pointing a gun at the FF, whatever will happen next?" then all should be well.

I love the continuation of the kind of high concept Millar brought back to the series, a brilliant fit for FF. And again... well, the penciller seems more than competent, but from what I've seen, I'm not sure he's write for the FF. Time will tel.

DR was good, but not worthy of the five issues it was stretched into, 3 would have done it(and it could even have been 2). Reed Solves Everything is in 3 issues.. that sounds like a better pace.

I'm hip to the art, but no artist can please everyone all the time. As for the gun thing.. heck, in Zodiac Johnny's comatose in the hospital because he had the audacity to take on the super amazing threat of 'guy with a pipe and flame retardant underoos' :( That just makes the FF look bad, maybe they'll retcon it and say the girls were a set up from Zodiac and they had drugged him to soften him up. As for the gun, I'm hoping Franklin was the only one who thought that was a threatening situation, agreed. Reed's absorbed missiles' impacts.. bullets to him are about as lethal as piff balls to us :)

Out of what I've read, the previews with Dale Eaglesham's art look just okay but I enjoyed the Dark Reign FF book a great deal. I mean yeah sure it was stretched out quite a bit but it had a lot of interesting character moments and fun imagination.

Hopefully it'll match the quality of that book.

I completely agree on all points.

Yeah, it's good art, but it looks a bit retro for me, and I like FF having as sleek, 'futuristic' feel- which I think Chen lent it.

Ugh... I haven't read that, and now I'm glad. The FF are always other people's punching bags, it seems.

The gun thing kind of reached its maximum silliness level with the idea of a two-paged spread for it though. But I guess he wanted to stick the tradition of two-page spreads opening each issue in the mini.

Hey look, CC, we're mostly agreeing with each other! A new feeling, and a welcome one!

Eagleshams FF looks great! I'm super excited to see what him, and Hickman do on this book. I hope they both stay on for awhile.

Oh man, can the FF get off the alternate worlds thing for a while?
This is one of the things i dont like about Marvel when they switch writers.
It seems like they dont really pay attention to what types of stories have been told and they go with whatever they think it's cool.....even if its, like, the third alternate worlds story in a row.

Hopefully that is just a couple of pages some random thing and not a storyline.

I think it's tied to the Bridge and Nu Earth leftovers from the last run... If'n ya don't like the Galactus thing then the cover for 572 where the FF are taking on Celestials probably won't tickle your happy bone (God that sounds wrong) either.

Not to mention addressing the hangovers from McDuffie's run (the 101st idea) which were created in response to JMS' run....
