Default JSA seems to be getting all the competent villains

in the new issue of JSA and in the Kobra mini, the JSA has been the target of big evil groups that actually seem to have thought their **** out and planned

Good issue, though the flashback narration really grated on me.

That's because the characters have the "expendable" quality. That means more risky stories can be told.

Also the JSA's average power level is formidable; the baddies would need to be competent.

Mix the two together and you get something quite special.
Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.

    Competent is relative ...

What's Major Force ever done, except stuff Kyle Rayner's girlfriend in a refrigerator and get his ass kicked, beaten, and eventually disintegrated by Captain Atom?

When you know your opposition can and will roll out a 20 man Uber militia to respond to any threat you have to plan ahead.

Even tho i can't belive those mopes that jumped the JSA could possibly give them that much trouble. But the suprise advantage always helps.

well bombing all the ambulances before you commit your major terrorist action is a stroke of sheer evil genius.

    SPOILER (relates to JLA#35)

I suspect that Amos Fortune may've altered probability in the villains favor.

Also, I think All-American Kid was possessed by the Spirit King, making him responsible for the deaths of both Mr. Terrifics and I'm wondering if this doesn't tie into Roulettes appearance in JLA #35.

If I were a b-list murderous super-villain, I don't know if I'd piss off the one super-hero group that has the Spectre as a member...

Actually, it's fairly common practice in the Middle East. In a crisis, emergency services rarely get a second look. It's as old as setting a second bomb for first responders.

I can't remember what show it was, but there was an episode where terrorists attacked a building where the main characters were staying.

A female terrorist then captured a paramedic and stole her clothes and ambulance, and used it to kidnap an injured protaganist.

I always love ingenious strategies like that.

Yeah, villains with a brain are always more interesting. Personally, that's why the Die Hard movies are my favorite. The villains know the police playbook and exploit the hell out of it for their own advantage.

That's seriously why I loved those Die-Hard baddies too. Especially Alan Rickman.

It was also one of my favorite things about the Joker in the Dark Knight. He had all the goofy calling cards and jokes and such, and at the same time, he was ingenious enough to basically sinlge handedly wipe out the Gotham mob scene and bring the city to it's knees.
