I loved the original mini and the vol 1 series (when Silvestri was still doing it), but the all-too-recent-for-me Pat Lee incarnation left me cold to the property. Regardless, I wish Top Cow good luck in reviving this once great franchise!![]()
I'm excited about it. I hope it goes better than Pat Lee's version, which I didn't hate as I like Pat Lee's work, but I hope it can see a good shipping schedule. As for people coming back I am kinda confused as to how many were really missing and I think it would be a good time to remove Wolver.. ooops I mean Ripclaw ;)

I always thought the book had potential despite being an obvious X-Men lift.
I had a goofy idea when I was a teenager if I'd write the book I'd take Ripclaw's brain and put it in a robot teddy bear. I just think it'd be hilarious seeing this teddy bear going mental and killing people. These are the kind of things that would probably prevent me from having a career in comics.
I'm glad Kenneth Rocafort is drawing it though. I'm digging his art on Hunter Killer crossover. I hope they get a cool writer for this. Not necessary a big name but some one who might be able to turn it into something worth checking out.
Mark Waid Signs in Canoga park tomorrow afternoon:
Collector's Paradise is proud to announce the return of Mark Waid to the store, for a signing event to promote release of Cyberforce Hunter Killer #1. All copies of the book will also be pre-signed by Kenneth Rocafort, and we'll have the regular AND San Diego Comic Con editions available to purchase.
Collector's Paradise is the winner of the "Best Comic Book Shop in LA County" award from Fox LA.com. The store is known for its regular events and soon, for it's permanent Art Gallery. For more details on this and other events at the store, check our site at http://ComicsAndCards.net
Would be cool to see Marz onboard, but I can't help but wonder how it would be with Hester attached.
As much as I really like Hunter Killer, I'd rather not see it as an on-going series.
I think it would work better (and fit Mark Waid's schedule much better) as a series of mini-series. I think that would allow for stronger stories in the long run.
Figured that this was coming down the pike with the news of the Hunter/Killer crossover earlier this year. I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the brief relaunch a few years back with Marz and Lee. It didn't help however that everyone seemed to be harping on it from beginning to end though not because of the story, or the art. But because Pat Lee was working the book. I know there was some rightful angst over his handling of DreamWave, and the leaving high and dry his employees and partnerss in the company. But it seemd that people were even taking it out on Ron Marz for even collaborating with him on the book. You'd think Marz was helping Lee murder babies in the latter's basement.
Also for those who have been good little Cyberforce fans unlike myself, and kept up on any and appearances of the team and it's assorted members. I have a question. In all the appearances I've seen of the team since it's cancellation back in '97. There has been one prominent absentee from the team. Where's IMPACT, the team's resident muscle man ? Did he die or someone punch the reality wall ? What happened to old Boomer ?
I haven't actually read the series, but apparently Impact died in the Pat Lee run (series III). I have it on order, but can't help wondering how someone who is supposed to be indestructible dies.

I'd love a quality book that mixes cyber-punk and super-heroes.
I've always felt like Cyberforce could have been that book...but never actually got away from the whole X-Men-rip-off-convoluted-mutant-back-story-nonsense.
Dump the mutant silliness. Focus on a group a cybernectically enhanced heroes sticking to the man. At the very least...I'd give it a chance.
ill buy it if impact is in it
isnt he on the image united cover?

Rocafort's got a unique style to him and that's a good thing.
Somebody mentioned Pat Lee, leaving the question 'who drew what in that book?' His artwork just lacked weight and dimension.
I bought all the original IMage books and ofcourse had to buy Silvestri's book, he was one my favorite artists when I got into the X-Men. I love his stuff. I hope he does a couple issues somewhere down the line.
Has anyone read that 'preview' called 'C2' they had years ago? It had the velocity girl in a coffee shop and some guys with dark glasses in long robes following her.
Silvestri drew that one, too.
^Yeah I have that story. C2 was supposed to be the relaunch of Cyberforce written by Scott Lobdell and Marc Silvestri on the art chores. The preview appeared in THE COW, a magazine about the doings a transpiring at Top Cow, future projects. The Big Bad in the relaunch was supposed to be T.I.M.M.I.E. , former cute robot built by Chip that after the story-arc "ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WOMAN", which started showing sinister tendencies ,and turned traitor in the story-arc that lead up to the twenty-fifth issue.
