I was so pumped when I came on to CBR and saw this interview. This was the one thing I was looking forward to reading the most from the SDCC. However, Kirkman, dude, please do me a favour - never use the words "ending" and "Invincible" in the same sentence again. That book should go on for as long as you do. Best superhero book on the stands today.
I am a little sad to see Astounding Wolf-Man come to a close but it never seemed to be as strong of a little as Invincible and The Walking Dead so it doesn't really surprise me. Oh, and if you thinks it's a good ending point than I'm sure I can 100% agree with you.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Haunt. Image United sounds cool as well but I always prefer you working on your own characters more-so. I'm excited about these Pilot Season issues from Top Cow, as well.
I have to be honest here, I'm a Marvel-boy through and through but ever since I watched Kirkman's take on the indie industry versus "the big 2", I'm totally hooked on Image now. That speech even gave more motivation than I already had to start working on my own comic scripts. Kirkman's the man, hands down. I hope I can one day be a part of the Image family and work alongside him.![]()
Yeah I think I preferred the blue.
Not digging the Finch cover either... looks like Cory Walker is on that book too.
Yeah, I'm totally disappointed in the ending of Astounding Wolf-Man. Although I've enjoyed Invincible a ton as well, it was the Wolf-Man that had me buying Image comics for the first time since Jim Lee's Wildc.a.t.s. I guess its a good thing Blackest Night will be continuing for the next several years..
