If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

I was really tempted by this issue today... but at $3.99 I can't justify it... especially if these are going to end up either in dollar bins or collected...

$3.99 IS TOO MUCH FOR A COMIC!
I picked this up today. The lead story by Guggenheim and Pulido is a nice little mystery with the Blonde Phantom (although I was a little surprised by the completely modern setting), but the backups are the big selling point. Kupperman's Marvex story is hilarious, but the real gems are the reprints of "classic" Marvex stories. The key to Kupperman's story is that he doesn't really change that much. The old Marvex stories are just as random and nonsensical and awesome, if not moreso.

I've been completely skipping these 70th Anniversary comics, but this one sounds too wacky to pass up. Ingrediento!
I'm picking this one up for sure. Kupperman is hilariogenius! Pretty fancy art too!
I think this has been my favourite 70th anniversary book yet. I loved the Kupperman story, but when I read the original Marvex stories and saw that he really didn't change all that much, it got even better. Classic stuff.
