Herc needs to start rocking that Mace more often. Or go classic and give him an olive wood club which is indestructable. That would be funny, seeing enemies make fun of the fact they are about to be hit with a bit of wood then seeing them go flying.

PS in my opinion Herc should difinitively be portrayed as stronger than Thor, but Thor would still win a fight due to his wider range of powers and not inconsiderable strength.

    Indeed it is!

I wonder if we'll get the scene where they eventually strip down to give each other their proper outfits back.... I'm sure Cho would have some snide comment to make if he walked in on that...

I've always wondered that to. Hopefully, it's not always hidden under his skirt till needed, lol. That would just be weird.

Mmm... this could be an interesting development - Maybe Herc inherits the abilty to use the thunderbolts from his father Zeus!

I like how they have been developing Herc recently, but I still think they write him as a powerful "Demi-God" and not as a full blown "God", which is what he is.

Aside from his great strength and durability, he doesn't display any of the other abilities which are natural to other Olympians of lesser lineage.

At the very least he should be able to move to other dimensions, and summon objects (weapons) from Olympus and change his shape.

I do recall that in one of the stories of Heracles. He wrapped the infant Ajax in the pelt of the Nemean lion and blessed the child. Forever afterwards Ajax was invulnerable in all the areas of his body that the lion skin had touched. He did all this, before he ascended.

Didn't Hercules lose his full god status at one point though? Did he get it back?

I must say this is one of the weirdest fight between Hercules and Thor I've ever seen.

At some indefinable point between Onslaught and Heroes Reborn, he apparently regained his full godly might. Possibly in Thor v.2 #6 (as part of the backstory of the Olympian Gods vs. the Dark Gods?). It might have been touched on in Tieri's recent Hercules mini, as well- I don't own those issues, so am not certain.

All I know for sure is that ever since Busiek's Avengers #1 and Thunderbolts, Herc's been running around in his classic costume and apparently at full godly might.

I don't think it's magic at all, but I could be wrong?

Is this the arc that's drawn by Reilly Brown?

It's supposed to be the bi-monthly team of Brown and Rodney Bucemy rotating issues.

I hope Brown is the regular artist once the book goes back to a monthly schedule.

Hercules was still mortal during JLAvengers and Dan Slott's She-Hulk, so he only regained it recently, and off-panel.

Are we actually sure that he regained his full godhood at all?

Honestly, how can we even tell? It's not like he had any additional powers or anything.
