I hope Morrison isn't working on that Wonder Woman movie. Both for his sake and hers.

I was there and I couldn't hear SHIT. Clive Barker has some kind of throat problem or throat cancer, or maybe he got in a car accident and got his vocal chords cut or something but he is virtually inaudible.
I've met Morrison a couple times before, and as usual he was very friendly and intelligent. I brought many friends and my little sis. Got the final crisis HC and Batman/Robin #2 signed....was a very good time but yeah, I had very little clue as to the content of the talk until this article reported it.
I asked him if he will be at SDCC this year and he said no.
I asked him if the computer animated series he was doing for Virgin is scrapped since that company ran out of money and he said no, it was still happening.
once more, very cool time. I could complain about little things like the spatial constraints, the lack of water being sold/served, the lack of the tea that was promised, the shop didn't give sleeves with its books but in the end, they got Morrison to come down and chill...and the iheartcomix DJs played good stuff so it was a damn good time.
had to buy Batman/Robin #2/#1 or the FC HC as a ticket to the event, but all worthy products.

I once went to Meltdown and bought some EC reprints (Vault of Horror if I recall). When the girl behind the counter admitted that she had never heard of EC I told her she should read a few, to which she responded " I don't read superhero comics". What?! First, what about the covers gave her the impression that these were of the superhero genre? Secondly, how can an employee at a comic book store at least not have heard of EC Comics? Meltdown is one of the most fake comic stores on earth, and their employees are all actor wanna-be's who know crap about comics. There's plenty of other comic stores in L.A. to support than these mirror-gazing jack asses (Legacy in Glendale, Earth 2 etc). Thanks for reading.
I think that WW's sexuality does need to be dealt with specifically because so many comic book geeks are stuck in Madonna/Whore territory (see the umpteen billion "Is Diana a virgin?" discussions across the web) and would be well to have that divested from them.
He's always like that. The panel I saw of his at SDCC '07 had him doing a mumble that would confuse fans of Bob Dylan.

But...he's listed as a guest.I asked him if he will be at SDCC this year and he said no.
I am a Bob Dylan fan and have seen him live and can usually understand him LOL
I somewhat agree about criticisms of meltdown. the employees knew a passable amount about comics, but i agree there are stores with realer more relatable geeks.
yeah, i wonder why clive barker can't audibly speak well.
