Default CBR: J.H. Williams III Paints Gotham Red

J.H. Williams' work on "Detective Comics" has lit up the web with superlative
praise, and the artist sits down with CBR to talk about the new Batwoman,
working with Greg Rucka, and how long he'll remain with the book.

    Best. Artist. Ever.

This book makes me crazy happy. That issueof Tec he did with Dini back at the start of Dini's run was brilliant. Iw as terribly sas that he only did the one issue, and that none of the guys to follow could hold a candle to what Williams did.

His Club of Heroes arc was pretty great too...

His art in definetly different, especially in a medium where a lot of artists are derivate of one another. I absolutely loved his work on Promethea with Alan Moore.

Kudos to CBR for this interview.

His art in last weeks issue of detective comics was one of the most beautiful comics I have ever read.

I hope this book gets tipped for an eisner.

Definitely agree with this. His art blew me away in the 1st issue. Really pushing against the atypical composition and layout most books have. I can't wait til the next issue.

i guess i have a diff take then most but then again im not much for red heads. But i hated the art in Tec' and actually it led me to getting this removed off my pull list. The story didnt do it for me and the art made me wish i could read faster so i could just get it over with.

I just can't even begin to understand how someone... anyone could not absolutely love Williams art, let alone hate it. I mean, it's easily some of the most, if not THE most accomplished art in comics.

For those that do like his art, be sure to check out Desolation Jones is you haven't already.

That's all fine and well, I guess I just don't understand how you can hate the art... regardless of what or who he's drawing.

I see what you are saying.

You can understand if he doesnt love it. But you can't understand why he would hate it?

No, I can't understand hating it and I can't understand not loving it.

But I really can't understand hating it.

Different strokes and all that, but this is absolutely shocking. I worry about your taste. Or you're just shamelessly trolling.

You might have to accept one or the other.

2 choices is just two greedy!
