    Laubit.

He'll have to fight Cyclops for her love, though. X-Twentythreeclops are an unstoppable love connection.

Do you think Gambit loves X-23 because he is half-Egyptian, and thinks she may be a cat?

Wait. Isn't a Wolverine more like a dog? Maybe he is part English, like Nathaniel Essex, and loves mutts.

Being an ex-prostitute doesn't mean you can't be picky about boyfriends. She does not have Rogue's sweet natured naivete about men.

Anyone would be a step up from the limbless wonder. I bet she'd get a kick out of being kinetically charged.

I'm tired of the way Rogue treats Gambit. He should have a woman who appreciates him. And I'm tired of the X-Men ignoring that he's got somebody named "Death" living in there with him. Hello?

The open road can be a dangerous place for a teenage girl...unless you're X-23. Leaving the X-Men is no heartbreak, not when the answers X-23 seeks about herself are out in the world. But her questions will lead her down a path more dangerous than any she's ever encountered, one that ties directly into the past of another orphan: Remy Le Beau, aka GAMBIT.

I am genuinely excited about this, I love hearing tales of Remy's past. I wonder if it connects in with the time Essex (before Remy knew him as Sinister) hired him to steal his diary from the Weapon X program?

Also, if the conclusion to his current storyline was him leaving the X-men to appear in a second rate title then I'd be really pissed. No offense to the creators, but I've never picked up Heroes for Hire and I can't forsee a situation in which I would.

If his storyline ends with him pretty much as a background character who doesn't do anything, but walk 2 steps behind Rogue then yeah I would take him going to a second rate title over that any time.

If they bring him in as their thief for hire now and then that would be a good role and nice fit for him.

You gonna get us out of here. With that tight-ass Wolverine outfit on. Now, let's make it happen, asshole

Hey, this was in the Victor Gischler interview about Gambit:

Any clues on who will be making up the core team after the "Curse of the Mutants" arc? Please include Gambit!

Nathan, good news and bad news. The bad news is that every time I think I've settled on a "core" team, something comes along to change my mind. Often a story or a situation makes me rethink my most appropriate cast. The good news? More Gambit in the second arc!

Good and bad news? I guess this means he'll be in the second arc but not on the team...?

Gambit's had a few different books.

Gambit LS 1-4 by Howard Mackie and Lee Weeks (TPB shown here)

Then there was the 2nd LS 1-4 by Terry Kavanagh w/ Howard Mackie (writers), Klaus Janson (penciler) (Issue 1 shown here)

The first one is better than the second one in my opinion.

His best by far was the Fabian Nicieza written Gambit ongoing 24 part series. I have a thread dedicated to it, where you can look at in detail entitled "Fabian Nicieza's Gambit... from the beginning". We're only up to issue 6 at the moment however (though issue 7 will be up soon).

This is one of the 4 different covers released for issue 1

There was another 12 part Gambit series, but it wasn't as good in my opinion. Issue 1 shown here.
