Also, on a more random note; am I the only person whose favorite "never-to-happen" pairing is Jean Grey? I got into a discussion with some friends and apparently I'm the only who thinks it could of worked.

Nah, not the only one, I like the idea of this pairing. Gambit would certainly spice things up for Jean. And I think it would have worked out well.

That is an amazing cover. Probably my favorite so far. After the covers for the recent arc it is nice to see one that is really creative/interesting.

I do not think he and Jean could be a good pairing. As for me she is a little bit too boring for him, and he need some crazy girl but not Frenzy) I would like to see him with x 23 but i also like them as friends

I only feel Jean is boring when she is around Scott. Granted, that is most of the time. The little times we saw her apart from him, it just felt like the character blossomed.

I agree. In my mind for it to have happened, it would mean Scott and Jean never got together, and Logan wasn't obsessed and idolizing her.

What that is exactly why he should get involved. Cyke and Wolverine basically broke up the X-men over Jean so having Gambit sweep her off her feet would be hilarious. Hell throw in Emma and make it a threesome so Namor can be pissed too.

Well yes of course they would never do it but that is why I want to see it. Hell Gambit is exactly the bad boy type that most dumb teenage girls think are so kewl so Teen Jean having a crush would be perfect normal.

Oh wow, I completely overlooked the HYDRA logo. Okay, even if Rogue is in the arc I am still excited for it now. It feels like we are finally getting into the meat of the story that Asmus wanted to do. Though I am a little disappointed that it took so long to get to this point, but I guess he wanted to have some more lighthearted stories before then.

As for the other topic, I'd much rather see Rachel with Gambit than Jean. The man already has enough problems with how they paired him with Rogue. Jean and all of her baggage would be too much. xD

I'm really excited about this arc. I think some rebuilding had to be done prior but IA, I think we're finally getting to the meat of the story. And I can't wait.

IA - I'd rather Gambit with any woman who doesn't have a ton of baggage than him with Rogue. Been there, done that, and it wasn't all that great to read. I think something else is much needed for Gambit's character. I just like the idea of Jean, not necessarily would I want him paired for any length of time with her. I'm actually liking the chick in the solo, works for me. And the only baggage that woman has is whatever Asmus makes up. LOL
